Great to have it in town. For any chess lover came across St. Louis, definitely recommend a photo with the World's Largest Chess Piece. Well it used to be 14 ft piece, and since that was beaten for the tallest, from April 12th 2018, they replaced with a 20 ft Chess King. A new Guinness record.

Awesome place to visit. Would be better if a person was allowed into the playing hall.

I wanted more displays on chess as a game, not "yet another artsy chess board and pieces."

With all the money and resources available to the St Louis chess club, this place is an utter disgrace. A waste of valuable real estate and an insult to the chess community. The so-called World Chess Hall of Fame literally has nothing to do with chess anymore, rather Begley chess related art exhibits. The place looks great and is well-staffed, but it is completely supported by inside of money.

The artistry seen in the chess boards & pieces was incredible!
