My husband and I have purchased multiple items from Zak’s over the past few years. All of the furniture we have purchased from here has been great quality and reasonably priced. All of the sales associates have been wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, our most recent purchase has been an awful experience. We purchased a bedroom set in July...it is now January and we still do not have our bed. We looked at the set on multiple occasions and were told it was something they usually kept in stock as it was a very popular item, and that if it wasn’t in stock, it was usually on order. Once we decided to purchase, the set was out of stock, but had been ordered and we were told it would be here in October. We didn’t mind to wait. October came and went and our furniture was nowhere to be found. After calling the store on multiple occasions, come to find out, whoever ordered the set, forgot to order the correct headboard (there were multiple styles). The dresser was in stock, but they would not deliver unless we paid an additional delivery fee, which was understandable, so my husband went and picked it up himself so we could at least have one piece of our furniture. November comes along and the side tables had arrived, along with the side rails and foot board, but still no headboard. We asked that the side tables be delivered, and again, we were told it would be an additional delivery fee. After some debate and multiple calls to the store, they finally agreed to deliver them free of charge. We were told it would be the end of November when our headboard would arrive. Then we were told December. Now it is January and we are still waiting. I understand that these items take a long time to make and ship, but having to wait 7 months because someone forgot to order the headboard is ridiculous. Had I known it would take this long, I definitely would have taken my business elsewhere for this purchase. However, I won’t say I won’t shop here again, because that is simply not true, but this has been a very frustrating experience!

This place is enormous. If you manage to go in while the greeter and sales people are occupied, it's confusing knowing exactly what brands are in which section. It's designed where the customer is best suited by having one of the employees as a guide. If you want to guarantee a guide or designer to walk you through the store and answer all your questions, I'd suggest calling ahead and setting up an appointment. We just walked through until we made our way back to the entrance, where we were immediately spotted and greeted by Rick. Rick is awesome, personable, funny, and goes out of his way to find out information for you. The ladies who helped with setting up financing went out of their way to explain the options they have, and gave me all the time I needed to work the numbers in my favor. I hate spending money, but when I do, I like to be where good people sell me quality things. That earns my business. Zak's Furniture was a fantastic experience, and I'll be coming back when it comes time to furnish the house.

Good place to shop, but the salespeople were not present. We tested several mattresses and still escaped the store without notice. Although I appreciate the pressure free experience we had questions and no one could be found. So, we decided to abandon the original idea of purchasing a locally sourced Restonic mattress and went to Grands instead where our salesman, Jack immediately greeted us made our experience awesome.

Make sure you read the fine print. The 5 day return policy involves a 15% restocking fee! And that's only if the price doesn't end in 7. That's mean clearance which means NO returns/exchanges. They will promise great customer service which you may get until AFTER they get your money.
