Albuquerque KOA Journey

About

Welcome to Albuquerque Central KOA, the Albuquerque New Mexico RV Park. We have a beautiful campground nestled close to the Sandia Mountains.

Story

What's right off I-40 on the edge of town and boasts mountain views? It's the Albuquerque Central KOA! Ideal for an overnight stay or extended vacation, most sites are long pull thrus that make it easy to keep vehicles and trailers attached. This KOA combines easy on-and-off freeway access with the conveniences of a metropolitan area boasting world-class museums, shopping, dining, a great zoo with an aquarium and a minor league baseball team. Follow all that with the treasures of the Southwest, such as 17th-century Spanish churches and the Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, and you have a nice place to camp! Witness the blaze of color as hundreds of hot-air balloons fill the sky during the October International Balloon Fiesta. Enjoy the heated pool, an indoor hot tub (open all year), Camping Cabins, fully furnished Deluxe Cabins and free Wi-Fi. All the Cabins now have cable TV and refrigerators. Shop the campground store for supplies or the gift shop for unique souvenirs.

Have stayed here twice now in our travels to Albuquerque. Both times enjoyed it. It’s very well maintained with good campsites. Clean sites. Friendly staff. Gates locked at night with night watchman so that was an added comfort. Used laundry facility which was clean and had good machines.

I enjoy camping in the middle of nowhere with my family. We rented a cabin here because it was way more affordable than anything else during the balloon festival. I was very impressed. The staff was very pleasant and the park was clean and well maintained. I felt safe for my family. It is gated and there is always someone cruising in a golf cart keeping an eye out. The check in process was seamless. I was not impressed with the up-charge for the festival. The cabins are well organized and clean. The bathrooms and showers are clean. I would recommend. Little kids had a blast.

All I do is buy propane there for my barbeque. Staff is always prompt and courteous. It is a busy campsite and always seems at least 3/4ths full. Looks clean and well maintained.

Loved the hot tub, incredibly friendly staff and clean bathrooms. Spaces were large enough that we didn't feel cramped next to our neighbors.
