We all love wings, & many the great taste of a good cheese steak sandwich, lamb, or chicken are the other options. Many different flavors of wings. Food is prepared freshly, made to order, with generous portions. This is primarily a order ahead, or there, and take out. Seating is available, but due to covid, dining in is almost non-existant. For the amount of meals prepared & served, the staff does an amazing job. Good food, and friendly service. Perfect... Vegetarian options: Vegan meals offered.
I haven't been to an American Deli in at least 4 years and I was craving wings so I decided to go to the one on Victory Dr. It was clean in there and the associate who was raking my order was nice. I didn't like that he had his mask just pulled to his chin but I digress. I asked him how big the wings were and he estimated with his fingers indicating they were a decent size. I placed my order for a 6 piece, all flats hot lemon pepper wing combo with fries and a drink. Once it was ready the first thing I noticed was how small my wings were! They were about the same length as my pinkie, dry looking and quite pitiful. When I asked the associate about the size he made an excuse and said they come like that sometimes. I asked to speak to management to see if I could get a few more wings and he begrudgingly said he would give me '2' more! I understand we're in the middle of a pandemic and production is down but what about 'quality'? And why are we overloading the plate with sub-par fries to try to hide the fact that the wings are pitiful. I have never been this disappointed after eating my wings as I am today. American Deli please do better. This was not worth the money.
The manager was outside walking around chatting with a line inside. One of the cooks had to come from the back to take orders.
No joke the best customer service for a fast food place in all of Savannah. Great crew here, food is always good, best part is that’s it’s affordable. 10/10
I drove all the way from Sanford Fl and made sure that my first stop was American Deli. The wings are so dang good. I’m from GA originally and constantly suffer from FL having TERRIBLE wings. American Deli is a little slice of heaven. I’d love it from them to come to FL.
Super disappointed today with the Gyro I just got. One flat lettuce leaf?!? Are you kidding me? And the fries were cold. The weakest Gyro I’ve ever had- which is weird because I once had THE BEST gyro from this same place. Ugh. On top of it, I didn’t get the extra Taziki sauce I paid for.
Got the Philly with wings & fries. Everything was fresh & hot. Portion size was good. Price decent.
It’s not a deli - it’s a fast food restaurant for starters. Ordered the only deli sandwich on the menu, a Reuben, and have no idea what the red thinly sliced meat actually was.
Tried to place an order and was told that I had to prepay… Never in my life have I paid for American Deli over the telephone. I’m not sure what’s going on at this location but it needs to be investigated immediately.
This place is disgusting. The fries they gave us were hard as rocks and the Philly was so soggy. Just nasty. Don't recommend
