Story

Aquia Pines Camp Resort is a beautiful camping destination conveniently located off I-95 (exit 143-A) in Stafford, VA. Located 38 miles south of the White House, we host visitors from around the world, as well as locals looking for a place to relax. We highly recommend this campground for short or long term stays. It's in a very convenient location close to everything you need. The campground is very clean and has all the amenities available. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Not to mention the brewery has the best tasting beer you will ever find!

I give the only star for the beer.  It was good.  The staff was disrespectful as was her wife.  They had no reason to know that my son was in the military and being stationed overseas the next day but that shouldn't have mattered.  At no time is it appropriate to speak of either enlisted or officers with total disrespect. There are no small roles in the military, only small people.  They should know this if in fact these the two women did in fact serve in the military as they bragged. If you are looking for good beer, just head up the road to the Tap House.

Have been going to Aquia Pines since Everett opened 25+ years ago. It is the closest campground to our Nations Capital and by far the most economical lodging to visit the worlds most powerful city.

I stay just down the road and visit solely for the craft beer. Which is excellent in taste and selection. Can't  comment much on the RV park other than it is shady and the spaces are not crowded together. Having met three members of the staff I have found them friendly and eager to accommodate their clientele. Have also observed they are courteous with each other, and seem to have a friendly working relationship with delivery people.

After reading the reviews here about the owner being rude I was hesitant about staying here.  I can impartially say that the owner is just a straight forward business owner.  I was late getting in on a Saturday night due to the 5 accidents (DC drivers are the worst) and the owner and his staff helped me get parked moved my car trailer to a safe spot for me and all was great.   Plenty of room for my new 45' Class A.  Ignore the negative comments and book your stay with confidence.  (And no, I am not friends with the owner and he has no idea I even posted this unless he reads it before I head out in two days.)

We stayed here two weeks.  The entire staff was friendly.  The  unique craft beer brewed and sold here is an awesome touch.  If you just like beer even a little I am confident you would find a beer to match your tastes... I did and I rarely drink beer.  If that doesn't float your boat try their craft sodas, the root beer was fabulous.

Hard to say what the real issues were with the water not working, but I can imagine there are just some things out of an owner's control and if a belligerent person is yelling at me while I am trying to deal with a crisis I won't be the best person in the world either.  In fact, the one comment about someone complaining the site was small and he couldn't get satellite is perplexing.  What more did this customer want?  The owner offered to let him leave if he didn't like the site.
