I purchased a water heater at home depot, i wanted an energy saver, this company is what home depot has a contract with. Two guys came and took a look, took pictures sent to someone else, then they gave me pricing. The heater that costs $1100 at store with installation would come out to $3450, and a regular one costs $400 something at store and installation $1600. In the end I purchased the water heater and called another company, he charged me $500 and everything works perfectly and has warranty.

Set up an assessment with Home Depot on a Friday. Linda from their office called me that afternoon, quickly got my information and found a workable time frame. Marc (very professional and polite) adjusted his schedule to meet my needs and came out on the following Tuesday. Assessed my home and made a few recommendations for transitioning to natural gas. Was great at assessing my skill level as a customer and getting me the information and quote quickly. Received the quote that night, approved it and they were able to schedule it for Thursday. Jonathan and Jeffrey showed up at the beginning of a blizzard, took my furnace out, installed a new gas furnace and gave me a quick tutorial on my thermostat. Matt came out, got the gas all set up, checked all of my other gas appliances and made sure everything was functioning correctly. They walked me through the furnace, how it was set up and the new WiFi enabled carbon monoxide detector and thermostat. They showed me everything, hauled away the old furnace and jn about three hours we had heat again and they left everything nice and clean. Marc and Linda both followed up with me later that day. All in all an exceptional experience with ARS Boston and I could not recommend these guys highly enough. They were quick, efficient and very pleasant to deal with. Many thanks to Linda, Marc, Jeffrey, Jonathan and Matt for making my transition to natural gas painless and for traveling through a blizzard to do so. You guys went the extra mile. Thanks again.

I used these guys for about 16 years, and then things changed. It first started 4 years ago when they said my air conditioning system wasn't going to make it another year. At that time I decided to run the ac until it died. Then last year they called me and said I had a prepaid tuneup. I told them I didn't but they assured me I did. So they came down said the heat exchanger was bad and the system was getting old and I should replace it, which would cost me $7,400. The system never had an issue before so I questioned the diagnosis and told them I'd have someone else look at it, which I was told "why it's working fine?" So after I ended that call I got a call 10 minutes later saying I didn't have a prepaid tune up and how would I like to pay. So after a few calls expressing my displeasure I wasn't charged for the tune up and offered a free ac tune up in the spring. So this spring rolled around I call them and I got "you already got that." Needless to say I won't use them again. The ac is still running strong 4 years later and the heating system just got checked out for this year and it's running at 100% with no issues at all.

James L came to tune up our furnace. While here he also tuned our downstairs neighbor. he noticed a few issues with the set ups and he explained many times over to make sure we were clear. We had an issue with discolored water and he did his due diligence to try to find the problem. I truly appreciated his patience and the time he spent trying to figure it out. he also showed us how to periodically clean the sediment out of the furnace which I was never told before and unaware of but believe will probably be a big help in the long run. I appreciated his efforts and hope to have him back when we need for the work done.

Horrible customer service. I'd give them "zero" stars if that were possible. I was told the service man would be at my house between 7 and 9 a.m. and that I'd be the "first stop." I have a job and can't afford to take a half a day off. The service man called me at 7:45 to say he was "on his way" -- just then leaving from an hour away! With ARS you're just a number and a dollar sign. They have no respect for the customer's time. I would never recommend ARS.
