Story

Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine first took root in the original townhouse location of Aureole, where the chef made an early commitment to farm over factory food. Today, Aureole shines at the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world.

Under the kitchen leadership of Executive Chef Gabriele Carpentieri, the sharply focused flavors continue to dazzle. Dining at the sleek, contemporary Aureole is staged in three venues: The Bar Room, Dining Room and Private Dining Room. Absolutely delightful! Food: Excellent Service: Excellent Atmosphere: Excellent This place was a joy to visit. Food was amazing, but you probably came to see the 'angels'. Seeing the servers grappling up and down during your dinner makes for such a unique, but nice experience. I'd recommend.

Aureole is a nice fine dining place around the times square area. The "Liberty Room" here is a bit more casual for a fine dining place. Though the food is mediocre for fine dining the atmosphere of this place is more relaxing then other fine dining places. The feel here is minimalist and modern.

Went for an early dinner on a Friday night in October with my husband. We had been walking around midtown and Times Square and checked out the menu. This is in a touristy area but it's not a chain restaurant. The menu tempted us and we were not disappointed with a shrimp pasta and a burger and fries. It was very busy so we sat at the bar. The decor was edgy and hi-end modern and there was a private dining room in addition to many tables. The very extensive wine collection is upstairs and visible to the dining area through glass walls. We would go again next time we're in town.

Surprisingly good for a large theater district restaurant. The staff was very accommodating. We needed to move tables twice and they very very gracious about it.

I had the pleasure of the executive chef's demonstration class about a month ago and based on the impressive meal he put out, I knew I wanted to follow up at Aureole for dinner. And it did not disappoint. The dishes are creative, but not solely for creative's sake. They are thoughtful, balanced, and packed with flavor. I had the venison loin and it was simply outstanding. The service was top notch and the Liberty room is spacey and comfortable. It's not an inexpensive dinner, but you certainly get what you pay for. I will be returning.
