This place lives up to the hype. Service was seamless and unobtrusive yet attentive. Food was incredible, with the lobster being my favorite off the chef's tasting menu. We got engaged here so were surprised with a bonus champagne toast and chocolate mousse cake which was a lovely touch. Definitely recommend for special occasions.

This restaurant lives up to the hype. The truffle tagliatelle with lobster nearly brought tears to my eyes, and the wagyu beef was melt in your mouth delicious. We came here to celebrate and the service was attentive while unobtrusive, I was impressed with the alacrity with which servers noticed things like my partner returning from the restroom and them pulling out the table so she could sit back down. To round out the meal, they provided us with champagne and a lovely mousse cake gratis, which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend!

The beauty of this restaurant starting off with the very first plate. And I mean just the plate with nothing on it. It’s a piece of art. And from that beginning follows an evening of food as art. It delights the senses and the staff is first class. Loved it.

I had the new vegetarian menu: it was as outstanding as the fish-based menu that is so reliability excellent. As usual, the service was so good and so deftly delivered that it was remarkable. I remain convinced, as I have been for 20 years, that this is the best restaurant in the US. Every single dish was excellent, four were transcendent. The eggplant was astoundingly delicate, it's sauce slightly strong to match the eggplant, and beautiful. The poached daikon were a revelation, tasting very meaty, the broth ethereal, the shaved raw mushroom fluttering in the rising steam from the broth. The wine pairing was relatively a bargain, too.

I went to Le Bernardin the day after my husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary at 11 Madison Park. It was a hard act to follow. But it honestly frightened me how well Le Bernardin did in matching Eleven Madison Park in quality and caliber. The food was just plain shockingly good. Everything on the tasting menu we chose was above reproach and flavor and execution. Not as off the wall creative as Eleven Madison Park but more classical in focus and superlative in execution. "Superlative" does not do justice to the achievements in the quality of the food here. Again, after Eleven Madison Park the day before, the food and Le Bernardin was frighteningly good. I was shocked at the highest quality of this is establishment. As well, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was above reproach. They honored our continuing anniversary celebration as well as a number of dietary restrictions. Food and family make for the best memories and there are few places that I would choose to make those memories other than Le Bernardin.
