So happy with this experience. I asked to have 3 things done. The first they told me I didn’t need to do for another year. The second they told me the estimate for what they could do, but encouraged me to follow a cheaper solution elsewhere. The third, they cannot do and are referring me to someone. They easily could have said I needwas d to have things done now and not let me know about a cheaper solution. And, they were nice. I can’t believe it, I think I found an honest auto shop! Thank you y’all.

This is a difficult review to write.  On the one hand, I have always found Auto Stop to be very professional, friendly, and responsive, as well as pretty fast.  Their rates do tend to be on the high side, but the convenience of their location to my home was a big plus for me so I took two cars here for a few years after seeing all the positive reviews online.

I decided to switch mechanics when, on three separate occasions, Auto Stop recommended expensive repairs that turned out not to be needed.  In one case, I was hearing an engine noise right after picking my car up and was told that it would cost over $1000 to fix, but when I took it to another shop for a second opinion it turned out to be a fluid cap that hadn't been put back on by the Auto Stop mechanic.  It was just sitting on top of the engine.  Certainly I should have looked under the hood first myself, but it amazed me that they didn't do the same before giving me the next estimate.  This kind of thing happened three times -- in each case I had an estimate for more than $1000 of work and another mechanic said I needed zero repairs.  This was a big deal to me because I twice considered selling my car following their estimates.

So while I do give Auto Stop high marks in some respects, and I never felt that they were deliberately trying to rip me off, I concluded that I could no longer rely on their recommendations.

Auto Stop won my loyalty when they took the time to explain to me why I *shouldn't* pay them to have my ECU replaced, since there would almost certainly be further issues identified that would push the repairs past the value of the car.

Since then, I've been bringing them my cars for any and all service I've needed, and every time I'm impressed by the speed, quality, and cost of the work. They take the time to explain whatever details I ask about.

Most recently I dropped my car off before a trip out of the country to get some new tires. While I was away, I got an email letting me know that they'd found a slightly cheaper price on a better tire than we'd originally quoted.

I know these reviews seem almost hyperbolic, but they're real, and this really is the unicorn you've been looking for. A repair shop you can actually trust.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for Auto Stop for MONTHS! But now that I’m waiting on my oil change, I thought “now would be the time”! 

The first time I visited was because I had an emergency repair that needed immediate attention - my tire was flat! I’m new to the area so I didn’t have an established auto shop but the reviews alone were the reason I decided to give my business to Auto Stop. I didn’t have an appointment and (me being me) I was the first person who pulled up - on a Saturday mind you - in hopes of getting a quick patch before any of their appointments showed up. Turns out I needed a little more than just a patch and it was going to take longer than expected to complete. 

Not only did they fit me into their busy schedule, one of their drivers - THEY HAVE DRIVERS - take me home (roughly 10 minutes away) and pick me back up when my car was finished. Their service is phenomenal!

So today was my second time not making an appointment... and here I am getting an oil change! They, yet again, fit me into their schedule. 

All of the employees are amazing! I believe Marco is the voice and face of Auto Stop and after him telling me the history, morals, and values of the company... this is my go-to shop! 

Definitely give this place your business! They earn and deserve it!!

Excellent service. Great customer service. They don’t try to push you to buy/change extra things that aren’t needed. Alex was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this place!

PS- I love how they always have hot coffee and snacks for their customers :)
