I really recommend this shop for getting work done on your car. They are very honest and do a great job. Their staff are very sweet and kind and answer all my questions, specially Melissa thanks for answering all my dumb questions with such patience. So far they’ve only done my alignment, 4 new tires and windshield wipers but will be coming back for more work. I’ve been screwed over before with some shops on getting work done on my old car so I’m glad I’ve finally found a home for my current car! Please check em out and you won’t regret it!

Great shop, great team! They keep their prices fair. They always do great job and they are fast. Unless you want a moon from the sky, they will accommodate you!

Everyone I dealt with was courteous and friendly. However, what was originally quoted to me as a 30 minute appointment turned into an hour and 45 minute wait due to a backlog of waiting customers and a safety inspection they said I needed to register my car (although in reviewing my DMV paperwork since then, I have yet to find evidence the state required this). Update (2018-01.30) The good: I received a call from a manager who explained the safety inspection in more detail. It seems my concerns about situation were largely due to a lack of information from the Virginia DMV. He clarified the types of inspections that are required and offered me a 10% discount on the price they quoted me to address a problem that caused my car to fail the safety inspection. The bad: I had already scheduled an oil change with another shop that include a free safety inspection as part of the service. They noted the same issue, and indicated that while it was something I should fix as soon as was financially feasible, it was *not* grounds for failing my car. I don't know how open to interpretation these safety checks are, so rather than attribute intentions to either shop, I'm going to leave it at that.

Totally love this place and the entire staff is amazing! We are a military family and finding a trusted auto tech is as important as finding a trusted dentist when relocating to a new area. We moved here from Seattle and needed emissions and vehicles inspections completed on a few of our vehicles. The staff was so friendly, courteous and professional that we have now found a team to maintain our vehicles during our time in VA. Character and service still count in my book!

To update my original review: I went back to Advanced Auto Tech today (10/25/2017) for a safety inspection on one of my family's "main" cars. The shop texted me an inspection report, which included photos of issues with my vehicle! I was amazed that a shop would take the time to do this, just absolutely going above and beyond for the customer. Ben (manager) took time to call and talk with me about some observed items which will need service soon, but are not recommended to be serviced at this time. I really appreciated that honesty. The communication and service is top-top-top notch. Previous review: I will be completely transparent in that this was my first experience at Advanced Auto Tech, but it was a great one so I thought I’d share. Brought my old (ok, junker) car in due to a recurrent raw fuel odor coming from the engine bay, and coming through the vents into the passenger area as well. Turns out a previous shop I had gone to used generic fuel line to replace the supply/return fuel lines in the engine area, and they were leaking. My vehicle apparently needs manufacturer, molded fuel lines for proper seal/function (German car). Advanced Auto Tech installed them, and voila, fuel odor is gone, and I no longer need to worry about a fire breaking out under my hood. Will definitely be going back to this shop in the future.
