I have travelled for work for over 30 years and I have used every rental car company out there and after today I have seen a new all time low from AVIS Bismark Airport. I was charged over $30 additional gas charge because I was outside of the two mile fill up radius from the airport!  This is a desparate attenpt to stick it to customers for additional revenue for AVIS. When it is -15 degrees outside AVIS hopes you won’t meet the tight two mile radius standard from the airport!  I plan to make our company knows about this and suggest we not use AVIS again for our rental needs. I know I will never use them  again!  This is ridiculous!

I have rented from this location on several occasions.  I have not had an issue, but was unaware of the $40 gas charge that is charged to the rentals.  It is removed once the vehicle is returned.  The staff is always friendly and helpful.  I would just note to add that additional charge on your rental when you pick-up as this location will not waive that fee beforehand.

Vehicle smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. Seats were dirty. No one offer to remedy the problem.

Absolutely Terrible!!!   "WARNING!  "WARNING!"  If you choose to rent from this Avis at the Bismarck ND Airport, You take pictures of the vehicle before and after you get or use it and date stamp your pictures. Also make an Avis employee come out with you and confirm any damage or no damage and you make them sign for it. I just got burned big time from Avis in Bismarck ND. You no longer can trust anybody! Oh and by the way, you will be pushed in to a vehicle you did not reserve at this location.  My insurance even said this was very questionable situation and they are now starting an investigation. I learned the hard way so you don't have too! I will never rent from Avis again because of this mess!  I also left feedback at the main AVIS customer service department. I can't wait to here there response if any at all.

I also was harassed by counter team. Two young girls. First no car ready to go I am a Preferred Member. I also informed them the holder on the wall was so we had the best cars chosen for Preferred an they said we don't do that . They also said we are nor required to do that we are a licensee location??

2. They tried to sell me services and threatened even though we have a corporate account if I did not sign the damage form, they would not rent me a car. 

3. They said we have a fusion or Malibu. They gave me a Santa Fe when I told them I hit my knees in that car they stated and I Quote, " We have the right to give you any car" I asked do you have a full size or something else they said only Expeditions and that was extra. There were more cars as I walked by each pulled in the rental spots. 

Its been an hour since I dropped of my keys and the girl emptied the box, no bill as of yet??

Finally, licensee locations are required to follow Avis programs and services unless its an elective discount they can choose not to do that. These two twenty-year-olds wanted to be right and bored?  Its almost 2 am and I'm an exhausted traveler who rents 300-night s a year.  why then are agents allowed to have in this way it took about 20 min to get a car after the sales pitches. 

AVOID THIS LOCATION ITS NOT CORPORATE AND 
THEY DON’T Follow GUIDELINES OR PROVIDE GOOD CARS FOR FREQUENT RENTERS.  I  HAVE A CORPORATE VIP NATIONAL ACCOUNT they were out of cars. 
I WATCHED AS TWO PEOPLE RENTED CARS IN THE TIME THEY TREATED ME LIKE A REGULAR CUSTOMER. I went through the sales pitch even though I have a account on file with preferences. It was outrageous! 

Avoid them Hertz and National seemed to have professionals manning their counters. I would avoid Avoid at Bismark airport !
