It's a beautiful park, near a train tracks. We heard the train once, but the train pre-dates the park, so it is what it is. But the lake is breathtaking, the woods serene, the facilities clean, and the amenities wonderful. This was definitely a great weekend camping trip!

It's easy to love a park when you spend a day there in the glorious sunshine, looking across the lake at the fall colors and watching people firing pumpkins across the lake. Yes, I was here for the annual Punkin Chunkin. Even without the entertainment factor of watching pumpkins fired over the lake this is a nice place to be. It's big enough that it didn't feel crowded even having attracted the crowds to the event (which is usually very popular) so I can imagine the normal day-to-day usage of the park would leave you feeling like you've got however many acres it is more or less to yourself. And that's never a bad thing.

Nice place for a picnic. You can camp and swim my favorite is to camp on the wooded primitive side. Great fishing and a place to take your boat for a joy ride. Free admission.

A large park with many trails and an ample variety of wildlife. The Nature Inn is beautiful.
