I hike here all four seasons, and always enjoy the experience. There is a variety of trails, and they are all well-marked and easy to walk. It's a good place for people of most physical abilities to walk, especially since there are several places around the lake to sit down at. Despite this, it doesn't feel too tamed or artificial. It's just incredibly beautiful. The swimming isn't great though. The water is usually pretty warm and for several years has smelled kinda like duck poop. Once you get outside the designated swimming area it's much cleaner and is good for kayaking or other water sports.

Awesome little park. Nice beach and picnic areas. Fishing dock, boat launch and campsites. They also have Yurt camping. We kayaked and hiked some easy to intermediate trails around the lake and through the woods. We saw a Bald Eagle in the pine Forest from our kayak and sun bathing turtles. An awesome day!

Was there at 6:30 this morning testing ice. Conditions are not good only two and a half two and a quarter inches three out on the main sheet. Would advise ice fisherman to wait until the middle or end of next week
