I attended a presentation at the hotel as a speaker giving a talk to a group of Berkeley staff. The hotel, aside from its aesthetic features which deserve High Praise, was accommodating of my needs and provided me with the AV and other technical assistance I needed as I got set up very quickly. They were great.

Easy parking. Great fun at the Board Game event held every week. Staff were super friendly.

Beautiful old building with wonderful character. Quiet and restful, despite being in the heart of Berkeley. Nice old balconies. Old books in the rooms.  Comfortable beds. They were also very helpful. I would stay here again.

Only one power socket on the wall for working and hard to plug. 

Overall, it's a very old fashioned town hotel, with very old facilities. No lift to 4 floors. No fridge. No tea pot. No free parking for guests. No laundry, etc. Service is good, but too expensive after all.

I was here for a holiday party. The space was nice, with a stage for performances. The catering was phenomenal with plenty of vegan options.
