I had an opportunity to visit the Faculty Club with educators  from Australia. The Faculty Club is located on Minor Ln which is a small alley way off of Optometrist Wy. The entry to the building has a very interesting Log cabin which was off limits when I arrived. Either way, the facility has a new building which is advanced. The Women’s Faculty building is located at the entry way. I really enjoyed standing around the huge redwood trees. This was very serene.

The architecture of this Bernard Maybeck designed dining hall and hotel is beautiful.

Very cozy place in the woods of Berkeley campus. As such,  things aren't very new but you get a nostalgic feeling. The staff were all incredible friendly and sociable.

The Faculty Club is a hidden gem on the Berkeley campus. Few people realize it has a wonderful, quaint fully stocked bar and various lounge areas to relax and read available papers and magazines.  On football game days it is one big tailgate, with burgers, beers, multiple televisions and more. Among my favorite parts of the club are the architectural details.  See the cool dragon heads at the end of the beams in the large dining room.  Go visit!
