Today I took my first yoga class at Basil. It had been nearly 2 years since I had done any class and it was just what I needed. I took a level 2 and felt challenged but not intimidated. Though it’s a solid workout, I appreciated the more spiritual nature of this class compared to a sort of power or aerobic yoga.

I first met Basil Jones 15 years ago when I took my first yoga class with him. All these years later and I am still a total fan of his teaching style and his passion for sharing yoga with the local community. This beautiful yoga studio offers a peaceful place to shut out the stressful world and practice with either Basil or any of his amazing teachers. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in Ridgefield, Ct. and this is the place that I recommend my clients give a try whether they are new to yoga or have experience. Absoulutely the best!!

Basil Yoga Center is a sanctuary for yoga, meditation and healing. Basil has created this sacred space in the heart of Ridgefield where we can retreat from the world and flow within during amazing vinyasa classes. We are lucky to have someone with Basil Jones teaching expertise and vision located in southern CT. A true gem.

Basil is one of the most deeply committed and well studied yoga teachers I have ever taken classes from. (And I am a yoga teacher myself, so I am extremely picky!) His classes are so inspirational, wise, and completely fun with contemporary music. If you really want to learn what yoga is all about in a welcoming environment, then make the extra few minute drive to his studio. You will be so glad you did.
