This was one of my and my husband's favorite vacations! The scenery was absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a nice little cabin at the end of summer. Even though OK and TX were going through a drought that year, the trees and the mountains (or maybe they were technically only hills, I'm not sure) helped keep things cool. The park was pristine. Early in the morning, deer wander the trails/ roads and are generally not too skittish, so you should able to get decent pictures of this. The river gorgeous and is very cold because of the dam, but you can go canoeing or kayaking with rental boats.

We love the park. It is off season so no one was there yeah. We rented a cabin there. Not a good experience. The water was scalding hot, the place had a rodent smell, looked old and run down. Needed freshened up. We get ready for bed and started seeing multiple mice. One was so big it looked like a rat. We packed up and went to town.

Just finished our 5 day stay at Beavers Bend . We had a river front cabin number 38 and it was fantastic! Full kitchen a nice relaxing seating area . 2 Bedrooms and a full bathroom . Only thing i wish was we had a full covered back porch because it did rain a few days . Looked like Cabin 39 had a full back porch . But still loved it. Great view of river , beautiful hiking trails and bluffs . Trout fishing was great once we found the hot spots . I am making this my family yearly trip what a great place to visit. One thing i will say and it is nothing against Beavers Bend park because it is privately owned . But the restaurant / convenient store is SOOOOOOO over priced. It is better to go back to Broken Bow or the gas station a few miles up the highway . Unless you don't mind paying 3.50$ for a 2ltr . The restaurant is not bad good food. Family of 3 we spent 30 for lunch not so bad.........But we also spent 30 for breakfast.....which is over priced for hashbrowns that look like cut french fries and eggs and pancakes. Breakfast should be the least expensive thing on anyones menu. All in all Beavers Bend is a fantastic place to vacation and get away from it all This was my review from last year. Already booked cabin for last week of May for this year. We are excited to come back !

Beavers Bend has been a relaxing getaway spot for our family for 40 years. Always quite, clean and nice people. My wife and I planned a two day visit for a September weekend. Called the park and asked about tent camping, no problem, we can pick a spot when we get there, 3 hrs drive from home. We arrive, check with the office. We were to go select a spot and come back and pay, which we did. Went back, setup the tent and was enjoying the park when the attendants came by. We were told since our tent did not have a bottom so we could not sleep in it at the park. We could not sleep in the vehicle either, all this is in the Park rules! Went back to the office to see if we could have our money returned since we were in the park for three hours, a rain check was all they could do but I could talk to the Park Ranger which I did. I told him I would like our money back because we knew nothing about these rule, never was told when we called from home or no told when we checked in. I was told that this is Park Rules and I should have read them! I was told the rules are in the rack, with all the other advertisement. I said no one suggested the rules to us and there were no signs in the office to this effect, all I wanted was my money back. I was told "the best thing for me to do is get in your vehicle and leave", which we did. I challenge anyone to find these rules on line. Just thought I would put this out for people to think about while enjoying the park, you never know.

We camped with our RV during spring break. It's a beautiful park and has lots to do with kids, such as kayaks, paddle boats, swimming, lots of fishing, trails, playground, nature center. No sewer hookups, pay showers, and sites are a bit small for today's larger RVs, but we would still come back because it was so much fun. Park looks like it is pretty old but it is really popular and in a gorgeous location. It has a store in the park that serves food. A couple of great (cheap) restaurants right outside the park. We found the sites to be clean and the campground to be orderly, the people nice, the rangers and staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
