Being asked for help is a marker of good customer service. I don’t mind being asked for help at all. Before I describe what happened just one quick note. The employees were laughing and joking when they do this. Some employees try to ask twice and mingle with there coworkers and laugh about it. Weird when people don’t want to make money. My issue is that I’m asked over and over if I need help. The same person may ask me twice or three times. This has spanned over 2 years of visits to this store. Even when I say I don’t need help they continue talking to me. I’m usually asked 4 to 6 times on a longer visit. Even if I say no it is never enough. It always makes me leave the store early and not make a purchase. I’ve done this about 50% of the time I’ve went. Even when I was there for a specific item. If I say I don’t need help, it should be that simple. This does not reflect the cell phone folks, cash register/customer service staff and appliance staff. Video games, TV, camera, and computer staff are where it occurs.

Wife variety of electronics. Nice place to check out latest gadgets and play (phones, TV, audio, tablets). Helpful staff, fair prices.

After returning a computer at this location, I still have not received a reimbursement via PayPal almost two weeks later. I was told that the transaction would only take 3-4 days. When I tried to contact an employee at the store 11 days later, like many other reviewers, I was on hold for 20 minutes with no answer before hanging up. I then had to call the 800 number to be able to talk to somebody. This particular representative informed me that I was told wrong, and it can take up to 30 days for PayPal to make the refund available. Side note: I returned an Apple product to the Apple Store on Sunday, and received the money via the same PayPal account the following Tuesday. Another issue I have is, when I returned the computer to the store, my intention was to exchange it for the next model up. The only extra option that I wanted was a keyboard with a numeric keypad, which is a $30 upgrade through Apple. I was told that BestBuy could not match this because they would not be able to sell the baseline keyboard. So they let me walk out the door, leaving a $1399 sale on the table for a $30 upgraded keyboard. My above listed issues is just added to a number of bad experiences I have had with Best Buy. I feel like the vibe of the store has changed quite a bit over the years for the worse. Extreme lack of customer service, and ultimately respect for their customers has left me with a bad taste. Needless to say, no more of my money will be put into this company.
