BTI is "doing their best" like all the people on the planet. While, BTI is not a person, but a company, it is made up of a team of people and as a unit, they are attempting to make the best decisions they can given the information that they have. I have had a years-long-feud with BTI based on the fact that they will not sell bike parts directly to my "independent bike shop" based on the rule against commercial dealers selling to a residential address. Because my shop is in the bike shop heavy town of Boulder, it does not qualify for a "special exception." BTI says they would sell to my bike shop if I "changed locations." As Standard Bike Repair is lucky to have "the golden egg" that is "low overhead" and "location," I refuse to change to a "run of the mill shopping plaza." Thus, we have "a stalemate." Like all "great conflicts in history and current events," each side has a "non-negotiable." As Standard Bike Repair's status of an "open bike shop" is constantly in question due to the "consistent problem of cash flow" and the "usual shark ocean of business," I have begun to realize that the best thing I can do for my health and the peace of others, is to forgive, forget, and empathize. The angry emails that I have sent BTI in the past contain words that I would never say in person. In conclusion, I am changing the previously held 1-star review and changing it to five stars. I wish BTI "the best." They are one of the most unique bike part distributors in the nation and provide high caliber personalized assistance and bike parts. That is pretty much what I strive to do as well. As SBR and BTI are both "in the bike business," we should "be friends," not enemies. The lord knows we have enough of those in the world. And even if it changes nothing in the world, I would rather have emptiness than a war. Thank you for listening BTI and customers of the world. The best customer service in the industry; always go the extra mile; experience, knowledge, integrity and loyalty. The premier distributor in the bike world...good people.

If BTI agreed to grant Standard Bike Repair access to buy bike parts directly from them, I would give them a five star review. As it stands, they refuse, cite archaic rules, and seem to lack a spine.
