Just came home from a 4 night trip to Camp Three. Let's put it this way, we only booked it for 3 nights and couldn't stand the idea of leaving!! It was awesome! We went to get wet in the river and ride tubes down the small rapids, so I can't review the fishing or hiking aspect of the campground. But I can say that the host, Sandy, was great. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restrooms although RIPE in the heat were kept clean and fully stocked. The river access was spotty and varied significantly from site to site. It was difficult finding an area large enough and even enough for our large tent but we managed. If you can choose your site based on availability choose one at the water's edge towards the lower end of the campground, they have closer access to the river and more shade at the sites in my opinion. My family and friends have decided to make Camp Three a yearly summer vacation tradition.

Careful at campsite 3 I was just there 7.1.16 til 7.5.16. the people who work there steal your camping equipment and food. They will scam you. Then work together to not get anyone in trouble. We are not the first people to have an issue at the campsite 3.The person who was in charge of campsite 3 was drunk and late for work as in days late for work. The restrooms full of crap on the seat, we had to be ask her, for her to clean them. Then this woman yells 1am for mandatory evacuation do to Lake Isabella fire which is far away. We come back next day to all three of my camp ground rumageged through and many things taken. Very unhappy and disappointed also the local sheriff's in on it. They send their buddy Deputy Ryan who is lazy at work but not to workout and doesn't even carry his business cards on him. He states he can't help me but writes down what was written from the incident report the campsite people wrote. I have been here a few times perhaps it will be the last or next time I will video tape it all. The people who run CAMPSITE 3 are thieves so becareful.

Very spacious camp site, The bathrooms are clean and there is a water spicket near by

This place is nice the camp hosts are cool and keep a good eye on the place. Just wish there was better river access from the campsite

Great location next to the Kern River, no showers, vault toilets only, yes water spickets. Not much shade. Cool group sites...
