My wife and I had driven about a dozen cars by the time we went to CarMax.  We liked how we were allowed to browse and sit in all the cars that held our interest.  Though we didn't buy then, we also liked how there was NO pressure.  Just an occasional question from the sales person.  The  next time we went we tried three more vehicles and found the perfect one for our needs. The paperwork was a little tedious, but necessary.  We will definitely be going back for our next one.

This was the second vehicle we bought from this CarMax, and I have to say that both experiences were stellar! I love the fact that it is essentially a no pressure event.  I had been scouting the CarMax App, looking and waiting for a truck to appear that fit my few requirements.  And then it happened, 3 trucks, all with (most of) the features I desired were in stock.  That night after work, I stopped in with 30 minutes left before closing, was able to  walk out to the lot, see the 3 I was interested in, and get out without someone hounding me to "start signing paperwork".

The next night I was able to get the wife up there with me, and show her the trucks I was interested in.  At this point we reached out to a salesperson as we still hadn't been hounded, and were able to start the process! The process was relatively smooth, other than a hiccup on my side with the insurance information.  System was down so agent couldn't provide me with my updated insurance.  

Our sales person said he could meet us first thing monday morning, before he went to a Cardinals game, even though he didn't work until that evening.  We came in, got a decent/fair price for the old truck I was trading in, and I drove home in the Red Barron.  All in all, the whole process took a grand total of 5 days, including the time it took for me to pick what I wanted, and 1 day where they are closed due to a law that no vehicle sales on Sunday.

It will be a while before I need to buy any new vehicles,  but I will be sure to check CarMax first in the future when the time comes!

Courteous service.  All workers cared for us.   Good team effort.  Had some cosmetic flaws found a week later and they fixed no charge within a week.  We had a rookie salesman, but he was not afraid to ask his fellow workers for help and we got it done.

The car buying experience at CarMax was relatively painless. Having a car shipped from another location was easy, then having the whole buying process done at one place, including getting the car registered was very convenient. If consider going to them again in the future.

I was very impressed with CarMax. Highly recommend others to make their next car purchase here. Be aware you can't haggle the vehicle price if you find obviously cosmetic flaws, but they will work with you. I had a large scuff on the lower rocker pannel of the car I purchased at a CarMax store, and they agreed to cover the repair costs. Good as new! The staff was very professional and friendly. It is definitely a convenient new car buying experience.
