The LifeCare Family of Hospitals provides a unique healing environment dedicated to the treatment of medically complex patients.

Story

Complex Care Hospital at Tenaya is located in Northwest Las Vegas, Nevada. We have 70 licensed beds (most are private) and a medical staff of more than 300 physicians. In addition, we are Medicare certified and accredited by The Joint Commission.

Our hospital specializes in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization. We are passionate about giving our patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness by providing early and aggressive intervention in a critical care setting.

Our treatment team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and therapists across a range of disciplines — physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, recreational and psychological therapy. We believe this transdisciplinary approach helps speed physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. We embrace each of our patients as individuals with a personal history and a unique health situation and we provide the compassion, support, and nurturing necessary to achieve optimal recovery.

Complex Care Hospital at Tenaya has been recognized by the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) for Quality Respiratory Care (QRCR). This places our facility in an elite set of only 15 percent of hospitals in the United States that have received this award.

Each treatment team is directed by a highly-skilled physician and includes experts in areas such as nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, case management, nutritional services, recreational therapy, social services and psychological services. Patients and family members are important members of the treatment team and are encouraged to participate in all aspects of care.
