I was extremely excited to go. We rented the bunkhouse for my 2 children's birthday. We had 16 people come and enjoy the weekend, however it wasn't what I heard it was. The moment we arrived the staff was extremely rude! She came out to us and accused my boyfriend of throwing a bottle out of the car. It was 95 degrees out, our windows never went down, nor did we have any bottles in the car. She was extremely rude and that was within the first few minutes of the trip. Next when we got to the bunk house it was dirty. There was blow pop wrappers stuck in the beds. The floors in the bathroom looked like there was pee on them. The beds felt like we were sleeping on rocks. There was not much for kids to do there. No playground or anything. The lakes were okay but there was such a drastic depth change, I was nervous about my kids safety. There was only 2 showers in the bath house. I will not be going there again.

We spoke to them on the phone multiple times before making a reservation, and they assured us that we could bring our friendly pit bull dog with us for a $10 extra fee per day. When we finally called them back to put in the reservation and pay, they told us they do not accept Pit Bulls. This is unacceptable in a state which prohibits breed specific laws on dogs.

Great place, great people, and plenty to do. I thought about moving to a closer campground to my work, but there simply is none nearly as nice. Suffolk isn't the best location, but this is a very good and safe place to stay.

Best camp site I ever stayed at. Staff are very attentive. Great place tons to do. Every one is awesome from the owner down. Great place
