Enterprise was the only company who rented a car for me using only my debit card. The customer service was awesome. I went to the one on 80th Street between 2nd and 1st Avenue. Shavar helped me out to pick up the car, it was just awesome.

Great service and good rates. Not the most inexpensive but certainly the least expensive option for those who prefer/need to utilize debit rather than credit card payment. Reps had us in and out quickly to pick up and return the vehicle. I called ahead to make sure they accepted debit cards and what documentation would be required to do so. They told me the most recent (less than 30 days) cable bill would do and that a pdf on my phone would be acceptable. All went smoothly. I've had many experiences where the rental company leaves out information over the phone or has different policies for airport vs non-airport locations. Then you arrive at the counter and are unable to rent. So the fact they were clear and consistent about their debit card policy was very important. I rent a car a couple of times a year and will definitely return to this location.

I picked up an SUV for a 2.5 week rental and dropped the car in a different city. The car was ready when I arrived to pick it up which is great...no lengthy wait. While I had the car, there were several days of rain and the windshield wipers were awful and I was really "done" with Enterprise at that point. I got in touch with John, the pick up location manager, and he was so nice, understanding and helpful! He went out of his way to get the problem corrected and to make sure everything else with the car was in good shape even though I had traveled to a different city. John's caring attitude and "can do" spirit completely changed the way I felt about Enterprise. I will forever be a loyal Enterprise customer thanks to John.

This location is great. My only beef is that they close earlier on Saturday than they open on Sunday, so you automatically have to pay for two days if you want a Saturday rental. Anyway, the staff at the Enterprise on East 80th Street is awesome. They are quick, kind, professional and very helpful. I would definitely rent from here again.

Experienced poor service when we went to pick up our car. I booked the rental several months in advance, so all that was done was to look up the reservation, in silence, they didn't even verify who I was by looking at my ID. I had no other verification with me other than just telling them my name. I asked for standard insurance and I asked to pre-pay for gas. We dropped the car off in a different location and I was shocked at the price tag that was triple what I was told. They charged me almost $200 a day for insurance when I specifically asked for the $11 a day option. I was charged $3.09 per gallon of gas, when it was posted on their wall that they charge only $2.35. Original price was a little over $300 when I booked online, they charged me $900. When I disputed it the drop off location reversed the charges and said the pick up location will call me to sort it out once they see they didn't get paid. It took them almost a week to call. I explained what happened and that the gentleman I picked up from didn't speak an entire sentence to me, all he did was charge my credit card. I spoke to two different people whose response was "OK, well will fix it. Thank you!" I had to ask multiple times for them to clarify, to which they refused to explain what "We will fix it" meant. I eventually got a call from the manager who said "You were overcharged, we fixed it", again I had to ask what this meant, how was I overcharged, what were they NOW charging me. This conversation asking for details took much longer than it needed to be. After receiving a final bill, and an anticipated charge for tolls a few weeks later, I am now disputing random charges that have shown up 2 months later in varying amounts with absolutely no details (i.e. the toll payments were noted as "Toll Fees"). I've rented from Enterprise many many times, but something about this location has really raised red flags to me. That and it's just unheard of for Enterprise employees to be anything but friendly. I will now be changing my card information so they can no longer continue to charge it.
