I have not been to a Field and Steam before. Very nice store woth friendly helpful staff. I was asked several time if I needed help but no one was pushy. Great range of products with some sale items and discounts. 

Would have loved to have the sit on fishing kayak.

One of the few all inclusive outdoor sports businesses left.  They are not quite as specialized as Gander Mountain was but good prices on ammunition and other items.  I just love being around all the different outdoor products and getting ideas regarding the activities I enjoy.  Would easily be a 5 star but the surf fishing gear I bought 1.5 years ago was poor quality.  The drag felt like melting plastic when I got a good run so I had to baby the fish in.  I made it work.  I paid so little for the gear that it is really not fair to withhold a five star rating and offer 4.  I just feel if you are going to make a product for real life use, it should at least operate like equipment rather than a toy.  Even if it's retail price is higher.  I was prepared to spend more but the surf fishing selection was struggling.

A little more pricey than similar stores. The staff are pretty knowledgeable however.  My kids love going to see all the stuffed animal displays.

It's sad when you have to change your 2 star review to a 1 star. You completely lost my business for dropping sales of high capacity magazines and ar15 platforms. Enjoy your business while you are open, I seriously don't think your company will remain operable bringing politics and emotional knee jerk reactions to the products you sell. Very disappointed with field and stream and so are the rest of the gun community. Good luck getting employed at golf galaxy you liberals.
