Great "no frills" site to spend the night! I'm on a cross country move from Texas to California, and am so glad we took the extra 15 minutes off the highway to stop here. $8 tent sites include a picnic table and grill, and there's a single stall bathroom on site. No showers, no electric hookups, just the sound of the river to lull you to sleep.

This is a perfect, clean, safe place to stay especially with kids. They have plenty of room to play without any danger. A thumbs up to the maintenance crew and all the wonderful people you meet every trip.

Absolutely agree with all previous reviews. Very quiet, clean & beautiful. ..Large camp sites for RV. Great hosts, Russell & Penny. Thanks. ..We really enjoyed our stay at this camp ground, especially with the sound of water running from the Pecos river 😀😃

Spent three quiet nights there in August. Campground was a bit overgrown with tall grass in several of the camp sites (including mine) but overall was nicely maintained. The camp host was seldom seen. Easy access to the Pecos River for fishing and saw several people with nice stringers of brown trout. Flush toilets were clean. Two vault toilets were OK. Water hydrants located at 4 different locations throughout the campground were convenient to all campsites. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of wildlife. No deer or any animal larger than a chipmunk was visible during our entire stay. Definitely fills up on the weekends. Camped there in my 16 foot trailer and the site was big enough, but not all of the sites that I saw could handle larger trailers or RV's easily. Overall it was a nice, quiet place to spend a few days.
