BEST. GYM. EVER. Billy Dowey is incredible at his job and a great teacher. Gracie jiu-jitsu has changed my life for the better in many ways. All the guys i train with are like family and they're all really helpful. The guy below that gave this gym one star is an idiot. Glad to be part of this family!

Hands down one of the best gyms in Raleigh NC. The Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai programs here are taught legitBlack Belts and instructors who have real experience with both MMA and Muay Thai kickboxing. Which is Extremely important considering there are a lot of martial art schools out there that teach bogus SELF DEFENSE techniques that won't work in a real situation. The crossfit program is also taught by amazing instructors that will whip you into shape if youre leaning more to the free weights and lifting classes :)

My 9 year old signed up for Ju Juitsu at Forged a Year ago. He took classes there for 6 months. Eventually my wife and I got to where would couldn't take him anymore and we tried to cancel our membership. The employee at Forged told us that we had to finish out our year long contract. I specifically asked if there was anything we needed to do to cancel the membership and he told us no that it would expire after a year. I kept paying the $142 a month until our contract ended in October because that was our original agreement. When I was charged a few days ago for his membership I was surprised so I called them to let them know I needed to be reimbursed for the payment because my membership was cancelled. They told me that they auto-renewed my membership and that now I am expected to pay them another $1,704 for the next year. I made it very clear that my son had not taken a class there since June and wouldn't be attending any more from this point on. They said that it didn't matter because it was in the contract. If you are thinking about signing up your kid for Ju Juitsu I would not recommend this place. If you do decide to go to Forged Fitness I would recommend that you do not sign a contract with them. The owner is not scared to take money for services he isn't providing.

Best BJJ in the Triangle. The classes are great for both kids and adults. I would highly recommend Forged Fitness to anyone.

The BJJ class was super fun, easy going, and no ego. The people at the gym were very nice and highly welcomed visitors. Billy has been running a BJJ school for many many years and has developed an amazing ability to teach people. On top of top notch instruction and a long history with Royce Gracie (under whom he received his black belt), Billy is a really cool guy. I rolled with a few browns, high-level purple, and blues at this gym. If you're looking for a super competition-focused team you may maybe this isn't the gym for you, otherwise I believe this gym could cater for all levels and all types of BJJ (sport/traditional) and is a great way to improve your BJJ and have fun at the same time!
