I've been reading all these negative reviews and not sure where they come from.  I was referred to G & L from my great friend Michael the Preacher.  My van engine light came on and took it to two other shops and they said they didn't have the testing equipment to see the issue with a 1995 Dodge Ram Van.  So I took it to G & L and they determined with their testing equipment that the alternator was bad. Props to them for being able to determine the issue so fast.  I needed to get back on the road fast for my Heating & AC business.  The fixed it within a day and their price was great.  I also have thousands of dollars of tools in their and not one was missing after.  I read these comments that people think they did an inside job of taking ones wheels and tires.  These people aren't like that and are very honest.  Dustin was really nice and great to deal with the whole time.  He's very patient and thorough.  Gary I believe is the owner.  Only met him once but he was real nice.  He also made my van a priority because he knew how important I needed to get back on the road for my business.  Awesome place and recommend to anyone.
My friend Michael is a very religious God loving person and he steered me to this place.  I highly recommended them and i went with it and had a great experience.  I'm believe these other positive comments are from real people and not done by friends or family like some suggest.  I'm thankful I found a great shop that is close and competent.  Most other shops aren't as knowledgeable and are too slow on getting my van fixed.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do NOT take your car to this place! 

I broke down in Auburn and was able to barely make it to the nearest shop, which was this lousy dump. They charged me an exorbitant amount for work & didn't even use the stupid diagnostic computer that they charged me for. 
They gave me a price over the phone that was reasonable, then told me a price twice that amount once I came back to pick up the car. They knew they had me over a barrel - what a bunch of con artists.  Seriously, going to the dealer would have been cheaper!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Seriously you'll be sorry, they know nothing about vehicles and rip people off. I fear this is what happens when you barely have a high school education and barely learn a trade. I agree any positive reviews are by friends and family or have outright been faked. Seriously, they way overcharge on everything.

First don't take your to a shop that has a lot of   the same cars that have been parked there for weeks maybe months.
Secondly state law requires repair shops to give a written estimate if repairs take place. G&L didn't do this for me. 
They replaced several parts that didn't fix the problem.
A starting developed while they had the truck and Gary tried to sell me new batteries but the batteries  were new. Their fix was to put a metal screw between the battery post and  the clamp. Half ass repair.
  Several  d ays after I took the truck home they notified me that they had forgot  to bill four hundred dollars and me being stupid I paid it.  So Gary I am going to slam you again because you need it.
Don't take your car there for transmission repairs, they

We use to go to this shop all the time. For years we went here. I took my car in for a water pump. While it was at the shop it dropped a cylinder. We spent a couple thousand to fix the engine. They took apart the engine and told us that it would be as good as new. Did an oil change and the whole thing. The engine lasted less than 400 miles before it threw a rod. We talked to multiple mechanics and they all said with the work that was done it was no way that it wasn't caused by this shop. We asked for a refund or for them to fix it free if charge. We were told no so we talked to our credit card company about the charges and told them that it should have been under some sort of warranty seeing as how short a time it was. G&L LIED to the credit card company so that they could keep the money. I hope they can sleep at night after taking 2 grand and totalling our car. I will never use this shop again. I now actively tell everyone I know about this situation so they don't suffer the same fate. If you like your vehicle, don't take it to these scam artists.
