Very nice gym. Can get crowded at times but I dont go at peak times so I rarely see a crowded gym. Good bang for your buck.

*Most important info: came here at 225lbs in Sep. 2016 and now I'm 188lbs in Sep 2017. Gyms work If you put in the effort!!* I've been going here for a year and a half and I've had nothing but good experiences. I highly suggest paying the highest upfront fee to get the lowest monthly payment. If you actually use your membership like I do, you'll save hundreds of dollars annually. Facility is generally clean and well maintained. Aesthetic upgrades have taken place here in the past year that make it an even more inviting location. The general manager and most of the staff are very nice and helpful. When I noticed the internet wasnt functionally properly Thomas the general manager made it a priority to be fixed and worked with his tech team and Comcast to ensure all club members have a consistent internet experience. I came from the VCU Cary street gym to this place when I graduated and I couldn't be happier with having Golds West End as my primary health club.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM! honestly my worst experience ever as a client . Can anyone help me to get the contact information for the regional manager of gold's gym in the Virginia Area?

This review is in regards to the "Free Trial" and billing process. I am not a member of this gym. I took a tour of the gym with Summer and signed up for what I thought was a "7 day free trial." She signed me up for a full membership even though I made it clear that I was going to try out this gym for one workout and also try out the Willow Lawn gym later on that day. I ended up joining Willow Lawn. I called Summer the same day to cancel and I thought a verbal cancellation was fine. She told me to just bring in my keycard. That was all. I did that soon afterward (within 2 business days). I noticed that my credit card was immediately charged $29.99 during the day of the "free trial." A series of phone calls put through to this Gold's resulted in various answers about getting my credit card refunded (since I am not a member of this gym and only wanted a free trial). On my 3rd call, I spoke with Summer and she said that it may take up to 3 weeks for the refund to go through. Even though I didn't trust her, I waited. Today is August 2nd and the refund has not shown up. It has been 3 weeks since my credit card was charged for the monthly fee of $29.99. Wish me luck! I am going to call a 4th time after posting this review. In short, please - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL. Do not give them your information. They will charge your credit card immediately and you will have to go through a lot of hassle to get a refund. Just ask for a quick tour if you can. If you already know that you want to join this gym, then fine. Just keep in mind that they have very aggressive billing practices. I felt that the gym itself was lacking in space so I decided to join Willow Lawn.
