Green Cab, Inc., a TN based company, whose mission is to be the very best taxi service in all of Nashville and the surrounding areas, having the cleanest, safest and most energy efficient cars, professional and most respectful drivers and staff with the latest of the state of art technology including complete in car-credit and debit card access and GPS, along with the newest cutting edge computer-aided dispatch available in the taxi industry to accommodate Nashville’s residences and visitors.

Green Cab, Inc. will provide complete taxi cab services using the latest equipment and technology to facilitate the travel of individuals in and around the Nashville and Davidson County area. The company has drivers and employees that are helpful, courteous, and fully trained on the use of the computer dispatch system. As an added safety measure for both drivers and passengers, Green Cab, Inc. cabs are fitted with Global Positioning Systems (GPS), which enable the cabs to be tracked or located in an emergency. All Green Cab, Inc. cabs will be clean, well maintained, and inspected regularly for safety and comfort.

Green Cab, Inc wishes to offer the city of Nashville and Davidson County the first and only all Hybrid fleet taxi cabs. Not only will we utilize Hybrids, we will also be adding vehicles that are converted into CNG, biofuel, flex fuel, propane and other renewable and alternative fuel vehicles.

Any vehicle can be converted to CNG depending upon what size cylinder- liter size. CNG, is alternative fuel that is cleaner and has a lower carbon footprint than gasoline. The taxi, the icon of the bustling city, is getting a makeover. Cities nationwide are encouraging taxi fleets to turn over a new leaf and reduce their petroleum consumption. As taxis average more than 55,000 miles a year, reducing one taxi's gasoline consumption can make a big difference. Fortunately, there are a number of ways fleets can improve their sustainability, including adopting hybrid, natural gas, or propane vehicles.

At Green Cab, we strive for excellence in every area to improve our environment. We have joined forces with “Clean Cities US Dept of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program” (Middle Tennessee Clean Fuels) to help Nashville to become the Cleanest City in the entire Southeast, which I might also mention that Mayor Karl Dean is also a part of the Green Initiative.

US Dept of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program, Clean Cities is a government- industry partnership designed to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector. Clean Cities contributes to the energy, environmental, and economic security of the United States by supporting local decisions to reduce our dependence on imported petroleum.

Clean Cities deploys technologies including idle-reduction equipment, electric-drive vehicles, fuel economy measures, and renewable and alternative fuels, such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (propane), electricity, hydrogen, biofuels, and biogas. Since 1993, Clean Cities and its stakeholders have reduced petroleum consumption by nearly 3 billion gallons.

Green Cab Inc. is a stakeholder along with 8400 other stakeholders with Clean Cities. We are working side by side to help our environment to become more “green” and bring alternative fuel vehicles into the city of Nashville and Davidson County. Green Cab Inc will also bring in electric cars to add our fleet to the Nashville area. The US Dept of Energy hopes to have at least 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2015. And Green Cab, Inc wants to participate and be a part of Nashville’s Green History.

We will first begin to use CNG vehicles in our fleet, and gradually add vehicles that have been converted into different fuel alternatives. Our Flexible Fuel Vehicles will provide a renewable fuel choice.

Today almost 8 million vehicles on the US highways are flexible fuel vehicles (FFV’s). These vehicles can operate on gasoline or blends of gasoline and ethanol up to E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline).
