Heart probably has one of my top two cappuccinos in town. This goes for their coffee as well. Really nice space with natural light and a very modern design sensibility. The last time I ordered coffee, I had had very friendly service. Good place to hang out and read a book, or get some work done on the laptop.

If you are not a Portland "Hipster" beware!!! I took my father to an appointment and while i was waiting decided to look for a coffee shop in the area. I googled nearest coffee shop and Heart Coffee Roasters popped up. (I am wearing sweats as i am getting over the flu and have no makeup on...fyi). I walked over there and as i hit the door I feel all eyes on me, the people sitting in front are all staring at me! Weird... but I brush it off. I get in line and receive the same attention. I started feeling like I was unwelcome. I order a large coffee and a blueberry scone. Instead of asking me if i am taking my purchase to stay or to go the employee says "Your taking this to go right?" I was, so i said yes. I walk over to the area with the cream and sugar and a woman scouls at me and takes up the entire area while chatting with a friend. After waiting for 5 minutes I reach for the creamer and she huffs and puffs, grabs her items and walks away. At this point i am feeling really awkward and want to get the hell out of this hipster twilight zone! As i walk out i get the same creepy staring all eyes on me as i did when i walked in. I have never felt this way anywhere,ever! The coffee was no better than the free coffee you get at your doctor's visit and their large is a small anywhere else. Not worth $3.50!!! The scone was delicious! That is the ONLY reason i gave them a second star! I will never step foot in there again!

I give five stars to Heart Coffee with sincerity and without concern of tarnishing my STATUS AS A GOOGLE GUIDE/sarc. The baristas at Heart have amazing integrity, and their cappuccinos are just simply P - E - R - F - E - C -T. That comes with a lot of practice and communication. (I hope they train baristas from the ground up and not just poach them.) Thank you to the individual who graciously counted my loose change with a stoned version of me ordering coffee.

I stopped by for a quick cup of Americano. Great stuff. I also picked up a couple bags of beans to take home with me on the plane. The space is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only issue is parking or better, lack of parking. This is a busy stretch of Burnside and you should count on a walk. On the other hand, a walk is good for you and the coffee is well worth the walk and the price.
