Story

We serve house roasted coffee and house brewed black or ginger chai. Our smoothies and Juices are made from whole fruit and veggies and have no added dairy. We also serve waffles, bagels and sandwiches for your eating pleasure.

Probably my favorite breakfast burrito in town. The nacho cheese sauce they use is delicious. I'm pretty sure everything is vegan or could definitely be veganized. They have a pretty varied menu, too, from waffles to salads. Their waffle dishes are actually super on point.

We vegans know well he adage: beggars can't be choosers. But every once in a while, an exception like Nectar Cafe comes along, and we can be as choosy as we like! Nectar boasts super friendly staff, and overall a fun indie coffee shop vibe (without trying too hard, which is a difficult balance to strike). I had falafel on a waffle—mostly to satisfy the curiosity instilled in me by Bob's Burgers—and I was certainly pleased, tho my palate was slightly bewildered by the combination of flavors. I'll be heading back to Nectar Cafe soon with both vegan and omnivore friends in tow.

I came here and ordered their waffles. Holy hell and geyser was it delicious. I really like their mushroom waffles (add maple syrup). The umami contrasted with the sweetness of the syrup is like having little mini flavor leprechauns dancing around your taste buds. 

Their a small store front and the inside can get a little warm but their outside seating is very nice. The prices are a little steeper than other vegan restaurants I've been to, but no too bad. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or feeling the need for waffles.

The barista was sweet, friendly, and made eye contact which made my first visit very welcoming. She didn’t assume I wanted regular milk and took the time to ask if which kind I’d like. The environment was peaceful and warm. This experience made my move to Portland less intimidating.

Great comfort food vegetarian style. Fresh juices, and other nice drinks. Only reason not 5 stars is I’m a poor and wish could afford to go more.
