returning my car in Paris at this location was a far better experience than when I picked it up from another location. it was a little tricky to understand where to park the car in the parking garage but once I figured it out it was very easy. The staff were very helpful and I appreciate it not having an additional fee to return my car at a different city and when I picked it up. based upon two other locations that I attempted to return the car this was far better service and the staff were very kind.
Service was slow so go early. However, the agent was very easy to work with and flexible with our return time. I didn't like how the vehicle only had a half tank of gas, especial withe fuel debacle in France right now.
I have used a lot of rental cars in my life, whether it was in France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, South Africa, you name it. But this is by far the worst I have ever experienced! I waited two hours in line to pick up my car because these guys were so slow, unorganized and overwhelmed. At some point they didn’t know what cars they still have in their car park. The women made me sign a document without showing me any details and no checking of the car. I told her that I feel uncomfortable signing but she just said “this is the way we do it here”. She was just not interested. She didn’t tell me how I must return the car and when I came back to the car park there were no signs that would guide you to where you need to return the car. I just parked it where I had found it. Never again Hertz!
These crooks rented my car to somebody else before i arrived at the location and then gave me another car which cost 3x more. Total crooks...
This Hertz is not for everyone tbh. The price is cheaper than the other locations but you need to pick up and return the car from the Intercity parking lot which is a bit confusing but it is manageable.
Worst experience ever! Avoid this car renting agency. They downgraded the car that we booked online saying that they did not have many available ones. They give us a manual transmission car which was old and not easy to drive. They asked you to pick up and to drop the car by yourself in the parking of Montparnasse no one would verify the car with you. Before we returned the car, we went to the gas station to put some gasoline but the fuel tank indicator had some problems. No matter how much gasoline we put, the indicator could not go to the top, we went to the station twice to make sure that we put maximum gasoline in the tank. My boyfriend was worried and reported this problem to the office while returning the key, the desk told us not to worry and it was not a big problem. Two days later, we received a bill of 40 euros for the gasoline 2.77 Eur/L *9,5L + 12,5 service fée. The car rent was very expensive, the car was bad and not easy to drive, zero service, extra pricy fee because of the problem of their car. Anyway, avoid this company if you do not want to have trouble.
Fraudulent charge of additional insurance pretending it was a security deposit, while the contract was not in English nor in my native language. After dozens of emails and proofs, still no refund.
Very friendly staff. The person at the counter helped out a lot when I had to drop the car at this agency. That’s worth a highlight! Great service.
THE COSTUMER SERVICE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL! After making an online reservation, and without any confirmation number they debit the money from my account. I understand that sometimes, technology is not perfect, so I call in order to find a solution, and not only they did not try to get my confirmation number, or to give me any solution or suggest another phone contact, but they even tell me they are losing their time with me. I understand once you have a client you want another one, but sometime is worth not to lose the clients you already have. We will definitely not purchase any other asset from hertz.
Absolutely horrible. A DISGRACE DO NOT COME HERE. When the Hertz on the corner is closed they have directions on the window as to where to go. However, the direction as which car garage you have to meet at did not correspond to the pamphlet that directed us to the “right hertz”. Their tiny pamphlet box was loaded with TRASH! Their was a vape juice in there!! We would not want to put out HANDS IN TRASH. Not to mention a sign that said the directions was covered up half way by ANOTHER SIGN. After searching all through the mall/train station we never found it. Don’t waste your time. After calling multiple times the Hertz phone number we finally got an answer after 3 tries! Once directed we finally found the place that smelled of pee and ammonia to this sketchy garage building. If the smell didn’t turn us off it was the fact that their was only one server there and when it was finally our turn he told us the car we specifically requested prior was RETURNED IN GERMANY. If it couldn’t get ANY WORST the car we were given COULD NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR GARAGE THE REGULAR WAY DUE TO THE HEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE THEY PROVIDED US. So we had to take a different exit so the top of the car would not scrape the top of the car garage. We were left with a stick shift, a lot of anger, a poor discount, and still the smell of pee locked in our nose. If you do somehow end up in that horrible place make sure you also have your PASSPORT as well as your license. Overall 0 stars for poor service.
