Purchasing a Hertz rental car has costly repairs I bought  Ford Fiesta and I have been to the dealership with costly repairs in reference to the fuel section of the car. The engine and transmission is good .But its not a year yet and my total additional expenses on the car has totalled $ 2,000.00. Ranging from two seperate issues with the fuel . Both times when I went to the gas station I discovered a new problem after pouring gas into it it would not turn over. I had to wait and then it would turn over.  People who rent cars run on empty with gas ruining the fuel tank. I also needed new battery,  tires replaced , a cracked part in the back.( I forgot what they called it but it comes from hitting ditches on the street) new windshield wipers, brake lights  etc. I really dont care about putting extra money into the upkeep ,it is a used car ,however this last fuel tank issue prompt me to write a review . I just got a diagnostic test because I just got inspection yesterday and they said I needed a new battery. Less than 24hrs I had AAA tow me in because my car wouldn't start.  The service department manager actually was kinda sacastic towards me he was like "you again ?"  Diagnostic showed the problem but they wanted to see if the fuel problem caused other damage. Thank goodness it didn't.  Diagnostic is $129 now Im waiting on a part
Which they don't have in stock till lunch. So a additional 2hr wait. My advice dont buy a hertz rental without a AAA membership

Rental and sales are completely divided, three members of the sales staff will sit around watching while one rental agent tries to take care of multiple people. 

Two stars because the rental agent was nice,  but the system that they have set up is a nuisance.

The staff is the best I have ever encountered. Erica, Jamal and Alex have wonderful customer service skills.
