As other reviews have stated, there is always a wait here to pick up or drop off a car. Always a minimum of 3 people waiting. On top of that, they never had the cars cleaned and ready to go. After the check in process, usually had to wait another 15 min for them to clean the car. Otherwise, staff is pretty friendly.

they are very nice in paramus  they gave us a very clean car . just be careful about terms and conditions read all the policy .

I love Hertz, their discounts, and vehicle conditions. But Hertz Paramus left me with a sour taste. I booked a full size car and the only car they had available was a Prius! After 45 minutes of waiting, someone returned a midsize car, which they offered me for the same price as the full size. Slow, and incompetent workers. Go to a different location.

"WARNING" Carl, the employee with the accent,  when I rented a car and checked if there was an Ezpass and there wasn't. I asked for one. He said, "It's with the Plate. It's a third party. You can just go through the tolls and they'll charge you later." This seemed shady and felt like a lie, as he was almost recommending I run the tolls.  Unfortunately, this Hertz is right next to a 50 cent toll, which I incurred a $30 fee for. Carl is recommending people just run through tolls. He could have easily said that they didn't have any passes and that I would have to pay the tolls normally. But, he didn't and I asked multiple times because it sounded strange. Luckily, I came to my senses and went to a bank and got money for tolls. I had a sneaking suspicion I was gonna get screwed. DO NOT LISTEN TO CARL! BETTER YET DON'T GO!

We rented a car for vacation and it was filthy ! When we got to our destination we noticed the tires on the car looked so unsafe. All the seats were stained but we pointed it out before we left to make sure we weren't the ones getting charged with it. We wanted to give hertz a try but after renting with them We would rather stick to enterprise.
