Fairly good, but their internal processes required me to re-provide information several times on several occasions.  Vehicle itself and politeness of staff were very good.  However, they try to strong-arm you into giving a 5-star review, offering slim incentives like a 15% discount off normal (pricey, non-discounted rate) for a future rental or a free upgrade for a future rental (both of which, you could find better bargains with a 2-minute goggle search or by flipping through the daily newspaper.).  

Still, overall it was not an unpleasant 'rental experience.

Once again they didn't have the car my husband ordered.  Last time they wanted him to wait or go to a different location.  This time they sent him off in a (pot) smokey car that they had "cleaned" with some foul spay that just putting his suitcase into the car for him at off my asthma. One of the times they tacked on optional insurance without his approval.

I don't want this location to fail.  I want them to do well. Healthy business is good for the community.  But for them to do well, they need to change, and apparently they need some honest feedback.

Please do not deal with these people.  They are horrible.  Enterprise in Paramus is much better.  The address of the Paramus Enterprise is:  757 Route 17 South.  
So, the Enterprise in Hawthorne (off of Goffle Road) is rated low by customers, and because Enterprise locations get bonuses based on the amount of times cars are rented out the door, it's no wonder that they want feedback from you.

My issues with them are the following: 
 1) They don't explain all the charges upfront, particularly the taxes and fees.  How do taxes get charged daily?  Particularly State taxes?
2) When you call back to dispute the charges, they suddenly are with another customer.  
3) They seem very desperate for the business, which again impacts their bonus.

Paramus is a much better location.  No surprise fees, everything is explained upfront.  When I last rented from Paramus, I will tell you that they did not nickle & dime me for every little thing.  Please note:  When they calculate the taxes and fees, get a calculator and run the numbers yourself.

Service was good, an associate tried to charge me $10.00 extra dollars for bringing the car back 15 minutes late.  I had asked the manager the day before if there was a grace period and she said 1 hour.  The charge was eventually removed.  The seats in the car that I received were stained all over.  It looked as though someone spilled liquid on them all.
