I thank the entire Hertz Car Rental - Mississauga - Dixie & Matheson HLE staff for their exceptional service during my car rental. In particular, I'd like to thank Angel Pineda for his outstanding help in making the reservation. Angel's patience, especially when I encountered a problem with payment using my American Express , made me feel truly understood. He not only patiently assisted me but also helped me with an applique discount that I couldn't use when I tried to make a reservation online. The car I rented was a Tesla X. It was my first apart from the test drive experience with Tesla, and I can confidently say that the Hertz staff was not only accommodating but also knowledgeable about the car. I was offered help with tips on operating and charging the car. I was surprised to learn that this location has such low ratings, given my outstanding experience. The exceptional service I received from the Hertz Car Rental - Mississauga - Dixie & Matheson HLE staff, deserves a much higher rating. Kudos to them for their excellent service.
Unfortunately I waited 2 hours for pick up at repair garage I was dropping my personal vehicle and had to get a drive over to Hertz to get a rental vehicle. No one was answering the phone when I called. They saw my appointment pickup in the system but missed the alert because they were busy. Service was Excellent once I got help. Make sure you call the day before.
If there was 0/5, I would have selected that. Staff usually never picks up the phone, cancelled online reservations last minute and the only way I found this out was calling the location numerous times. Now I will have to cancel my trip because all other rental companies are either booked up or they are quoting outrageously. This is unacceptable, for a rental company
The worst car rental that I ‘ve ever seen. We booked a car, recieved confirmation number. But when we arrived we were told that they don’t have any availibility. After 2 hours of waiting they gave us a tesla which was awful. We could use the car just 2 days . The third days car didn’t work. We called them and they didn’t even change the car for us. For the rest of our stay the car didn’t work and They deducted for the days which we couldn’t use the car
My experience with Hertz at the Mississauga Dixie Matheson HLE location was extremely disappointing. I was provided with rental vehicles that did not meet the required standards for Uber driving, leading to a loss of income for several days. Additionally, one of the cars had a pre-existing mechanical issue—the front plastic underbody cover fell off while driving due to a manufacturing defect. Despite promptly addressing this with the Hertz team, I was wrongfully blamed for the damage and subjected to false charges. When I raised the issue, I was met with unprofessional behavior from their staff, particularly Angel Pineda, who was rude and made false charges on my credit card. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, I was treated unfairly, and the promised discounts were not honored. Now, it seems I’ll need to waste more of my time pursuing this matter through small claims court just to get a fair resolution. This experience caused immense frustration and stress, and I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a reliable rental service. Customer service needs serious improvement. Think twice before choosing this location if you want a smooth and professional rental experience. Post resolution from Hertz team: I want to thank the Hertz customer service team for their prompt action in reversing the unjust charges made by Angel Pineda at the Mississauga Dixie Matheson HLE location. After a lengthy struggle and multiple follow-ups, I’m relieved to see that the truth has prevailed and the company has shown integrity in addressing the issue. To Angel Pineda and the other staff member who made me wait for 2.5 hours while refusing to provide the rental record, and who further tried to intimidate me by saying I’d be charged if I asked for it—this experience was truly disheartening and disappointing. But let this be a reminder that honesty and fairness will always triumph over attempts to mistreat customers. I hope that the actions taken by Hertz serve as a lesson to ensure that no other customer goes through the same ordeal. I appreciate the customer support team's efforts to restore my faith in the brand.
I wouldn't recommend this hertz location if you don't want to waste time. They don't bother answering their phone at all, so if you need any help you basically have to drive there to talk to them. Staff are fairly nice but the overall disorganization of this branch is on another level. There is another location in Mississauga you're better off going there.
Vehicle: Blue polestar. Arrogant attitude of a white guy at Dixie location. Charged me 300$ for already broken console which I didn't notice during pickup. Any never took my concent on the issue, simply charged on my card. Most important, they kept charging on my credit card even after two weeks of returning car. If I get charged on my credit card again. I'll have to take an action.
I’m so disappointed and regret going through the process in renting a car with them. The lack communication when you call the phone no one picks up. When I picked up my car it was filthy and smelly I urgently needed for work so I took upon myself to detail the car. Then I notice that the door had a default and the staring wheel had a peel and the door handle sticked out to which it happen days later. I communicated this with them and I had wanted to return it and he said I should just keep it cause there is no other car. Then they added an 800$ bill for car damages to which I did not do. I can go on but please be careful renting from them they are not honest and only help there people. I am so disappointed they don’t even deserve 1 start.
Even one star is overrated for this location. Went there for Uber rental with a reservation but was turned down since they give preference to other rentals. Staff were arrogant and did not care less. They are better off disconnecting their phones since they don't answer them anyways.
Terrible Experience at Hertz - Beware of Potential Scams! I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Hertz car rental that I feel compelled to share. The rental location was extremely chaotic, primarily due to what seemed to be a large number of Uber drivers disputing the availability of their preferred vehicles. This added significant stress and confusion to the entire process. Parking was another major issue. Upon returning my vehicle, there was absolutely no space available, forcing me to wait endlessly until someone reluctantly took the keys from me. What's worse, there was no formal inspection done at that time; they simply moved the car away hastily. A few days later, I received a call from Hertz claiming that the car was damaged during my rental period. This accusation is baseless as my car was parked in a secure spot in my condo, protected on three sides, making it impossible for it to have been hit by another car. I am left with a strong suspicion that this may be a tactic to charge extra from those who decline their extended coverage. This experience was not only frustrating but also alarming, suggesting a lack of integrity in their business practices. I strongly advise against renting from this Hertz location to avoid similar issues. Please consider other more reputable and transparent car rental options.
