We adopted Captain (now renamed Jack) from this shelter. We were very impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the building.  Jack has had some anxiety issues when we have left him at home and Lisa and the staff have been very helpful to refer us to some experts for additional help.  These volunteers are very caring and want each dog to have the best home possible so we were asked a lot of questions about the environment that Jack would be living in. We weren't at all offended by this.   We were delighted with our adoption experience and highly recommend this facility.

I found a very sweet Healer stray 1-5-2017. I was going to bring him to this facility, but after reading all the reviews , I'm going to look for other avenues. I don't want this poor dog getting euthanized because of the lack of encouragement to help find a dog a good home. If anyone is interested in adopting this pet, feel free to respond via email.

$200-300 for ANY dog. I called about one I really wanted to come and meet and they are closed on Wednesday and Thursdays I left a message saying I'd be down on that Friday then. When I. Called on Friday they said I couldn't come see him because he had just been neutered that day. It seemed like they only did that because I wanted to come see him so I'd pay for the neutering costs? They were very rude to me on the phone. I thought you guys were a nonprofit in the practice of finding dogs good homes? I guess I was wrong.

The staff was extremely respectful when we went to look at dogs. One staff member (I feel bad I never caught her name) took the time to come out to the kennel with us and Hank and give us a mini-interview and get to know us better and how well Hank would fit with us and our lifestyle. The entire staff was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable during our entire visit. Hope they find us a good match for Hank cause he is absolutely the best. We went on Saturday afternoon and we were the only ones there which helped with our experience. Overall would recommend this shelter over others in the area for dogs.

Got our min pin, Timmy, here. They take really good care of their dogs! I recommend getting one of their very sweet, friendly pit bulls as they take up almost half of their kennels.
