This dude was so rude. I don't understand how you can operate like this. Just take an UBER. Cheaper and friendlier.

Do not ride with this cab company!

I took a ride from the airport to my office back in May 2016.  We get to my office and I hand him my credit card and he aggressively snaps "You don't have cash?"  And I said no I need to use credit (esp because it was a work expense that I wanted to track on my credit card rather than cash).  I handed him my card and he says "uh I can't use this kind of card."  I assume that he couldn't use it because the credit card numbers aren't risen so it's hard to make a carbon copy.  So he writes down my numbers and aggressively asks me to sign.  I left the cab feeling very uncomfortable about my interactions with the cab driver.

Then I get a call late in July 2016 (2 1/2 months after the trip) that I didn't pay my cab fair.  This is 2 months after I moved out of the DC area too so I was even more annoyed.  The man on the phone aggressively asks for my credit card numbers, and I"m obviously not comfortable just giving that away over the phone.  He then threatens to file a police report if I don't pay.  Finally, we realize the cab drive switched two numbers, and that my credit card went through.  I try to get the man's name on the phone so I could note it in case more things happened, but before I could he rudely hangs up on me.

Now 3 weeks from that incident, I see on my credit card bill that there is another charge for the same amount.   I don't even live in DC anymore and am clearly not taking King Cab.  So hopefully I will never have to encounter this cab company again.

Don't even bother - requested a 4:30pm cab for a client at 3:45pm. 45-MINUTE NOTICE, THERE IS NO EXCUSE. What good is a cab if they can't even arrive on time?? She waited 20 MINUTES for them to arrive, then I finally got her an Uber - something I should have done in the first place. She almost missed her flight because of this useless company.  You deserve to go out of business.

king cab has the distinction of the worst taxi experience i have had to date... and as i'm 50 that's saying something. i called @ 10:45 am to schedule an appointment for a 1:40 pickup from a street off union two blocks from union and king (major streets in old town alex.) to get to national airport for a 3pm flight.

@ 1:50 i called asking where my cab was. "2-3 mins away was the response." 10 min. later i called again "the driver can't find your street." which has got to be the lamest excuse of this decade. even with my 4 year old gps the street is on it. and i'm practically in union street itself with all my bags melting away in the steaming hot sun. couldn't miss me if you tried!

2:00 i call saying... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find me! and that's when the dispatcher hung up on me. by that time i was totally gross melted down to nothing wondering what i'll do when i miss my flight and the $'s i'll be charge by usair for a replacement. so i called another company. 

@ 2:12 king cab driver showed up.

i ran with my bags through the airport obstacles and obstructions and just as the gate announcer was done calling my name for the last time and shutting the door i leaped in. needless to say i was done for the day.

there really is no excuse for this kind of negligence this day and age. even i myself, the most directionally disabled person i know has no trouble finding major roads in major cities with gps. 

do not trust king cab. make sure you get a confirmation call to any appointment you set. better yet, go with the competition!

and if you need another reason to not use king cab here it is... they are headquartered in alex.! (3706 Mount Vernon Avenue Alexandria, VA 22305‎)  3.46 miles from my pickup location!!! they couldn't even get someone out of their own backyard. is that the company you want to entrust when trying to make an important appointment? not me, not again!

I scheduled an 0400 pickup the night prior.  At 0400 I called only to be told they had a limited number of drivers at this time in the morning and they would send a driver as soon as possible.  Needless to say I called another service who was there within minutes.  As I was in the competitors cab on my way to the airport I received a call at 0418 telling me they would be there in approximately 20 minutes to pick me up.  Needless to say I will not be using thier services again.
