Terrible experience. Talked my elderly parents into larger chairs then they wanted. They Used the “free” design consultant. Now they’re too big for them and the space. The rug took a month to settle down. And now is shedding like crazy($1200 rug). If they pick a replacement rug that’s less expensive, they lose the difference. If they choose to not replace it, they lose their money. The staff (other than the designer) were nice until there was a problem. Now they’re being difficult and rude! My parents are 87 years old and they are treating them horribly. Whatever happened to making things right? With courtesy. Never ever will I step foot in a lazy boy store again. And I will tell everyone I meet the same. Even strangers.

I expect an overly friendly sales rep to greet me the instant I step inside a furniture store - that's just how things are done.  

But I also expect to be able to look around on my own, especially once the rep has claimed she's going to let me do that.

Unfortunately,  I ended up leaving the store without looking at everything I wanted to, because the sales rep could not back off for more than a moment. There was no time to consider if what I had seen was what I needed and she kept trying to show me couches because she sells a lot of that model - even if it was the opposite of what I said I want to see. She also kept trying to make personal small talk (job, kids, marriage, pets) but I wasn't there to make a friend,  I wanted to buy a couch! 

I ended up at Ashley Home Store and had a way better experience.  Value City was pretty decent too, they just didn't have what I need.

Trish, my sales associate, was hardworking and well-informative without being pushy or aggressive. She was patient and creative and really listened to my needs, budget and style to help make my purchase one that I am really excited about. The store designer Jess was also very helpful in pulling together the small details that will really bring my room decor together. I would recommend the Mishawaka La-Z-Boy location and specifically Trish and Jess to anyone looking to make a furniture purchase.

Salesperson was excellent and I was happy with the price of the chair. What I wasn’t happy with was being told that picking the item up at the store would cost me $40 for shipping! That’s ridiculous, the cost of YOU getting YOUR stock to the store for your customers to purchase is a cost of doing business and should be built into the price of the item. Why do you put your employees in the awkward position of explaining this to your customers AFTER they’ve decided to purchase? I will remember this when I am furniture shopping in the future and will probably shop around instead of just heading straight to Lazy Boy.

During my recent visit to the La-Z-Boy store in Mishawaka, sales representative, Julia, pleasantly welcomed me and asked if she could.show or direct me to what I was interested in purchasing.  Upon asking about the construction of their recliners, Julia didn't hesitate to tip the chair up, to show, and explain how the recliner was made. Then I became overwhelmed looking at all of the upholstery swaps Thankfully Julia guided me with her knowledge and experience as a designer. I purchased one recliner at that time and returned the following day to purchase another recliner. I am looking forward to relaxing in my La-Z-Boy when it arrives.
