"The Great Mistake" Have purchased many items from this store in the past. My recent basketball hoop/install will be the last. The only reason most pay a visit to the Great Mistake and pay their slightly inflated pricing is to utilize their delivery/install services. They take no action to control the quality assurance of the install companies. Not much more reason to spend your money there. To sum up my experience: After a month wait for the hoop (time not much an issue). We were contacted to be home for the hoop install on a Saturday between 2 & 6. Saturday goes by...no call, no show, no return phone calls. Sunday (happened to Mothers Day :( , was promised for the install between 2 & 6. No show, no call,. Called into the store salesman with no return phone call as promised. This is the only location i have purchased from but I cant imagine this would be the experience at all locations. I know they like to push blame on the contracted install services but it is 100% their responsibility to assure a smooth process. By the looks of the reviews i am not the only one to have this issue...i predict the store will not be at this location in the long term because of the inability to manage their services.

We bought the "Lion's Den" wooden swingset, with installation. The crew that brought the set to us, and set it up were amazing! We do not have the biggest area to place the set, but, the crew worked with us to get the best placement. Very professional (all 4 of the crew). Towards the end, I could hardly keep all 4 of my children off of it, but, the crew just laughed with them and let them play. I am very impressed with the quality of work, and the knowledge that the crew had about this particular play set. I cannot stress enough just how much our family appreciated this crew! When the Great Escape says they have professional contractors, they are not feeding us a line, they must really scout out the best in our area to use.

Wife went in today because Leslies pool service refused to test water due to it raining at their store location because apparently that means we can't get started on our new pool even though its not raining at our location and our pool was covered anyways. Anyways my wife spoke with an older gentleman and unfortunately we didn't get his name but she had a wonderful experience. They got us started with all the chemicals and starter test kits we would need and got some pricing on some other stuff we were looking at. I would come here over any other place to get started with your pool and get setup the proper way. They know their stuff and are willing to take the time to explain everything to you like a proper business, and not ones looking to make a quick sale.

Terrible experience!! I will never recommend nor buy from Great Escape again! Buying the pool was easy but getting the contracting services (A & D Services) to actually come out and install the pool was awful. They cancelled on us 3 times, one which was weather related, which we understand... Then when they did come, the A & D crew went to the wrong work site first so they didn't come to install our pool until 4 pm. My husband wouldn't have even had to take the day off work but they didn't even bother to communicate with us the time.. When my husband would try to call, they ignored his phone calls. They were there until after 8pm (I have kids)! A & D then told us to make sure the pool was filled so they could come back within 1 or 2 days to finish installing the pump... We filled up the next day and called. Scheduled it for 2 days after (a Saturday), which was fine but then called and rescheduled for Monday - That Monday they didn't bother to show up and again ignored my husbands phone calls. We called Great Escape, thinking they could help us! I was very WRONG! I was told by the man we bought the pool from that he would try to get a hold of A & D services and call back before Great Escape closed, either way.... Even checked to make sure of the correct phone number.. NEVER bothered to call back.... A & D services called back the next day (now Tuesday) and said they couldn't come until the next week, Monday to install the pump! Told us to just put some bleach in it everyday to take care of the algae.. We have called great escape again to complain and still nothing has been done to take care of anything... My husband installed it himself.... ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL , NO COMMUNICATION AND TERBBILE SERVICE FROM BOTH GREAT ESCAPE AND A & D SERVICES.....

Karl, our sales rep, was very knowledgeable and of great assistance on everything we needed to know as far as buying our pool, chemicals needed to balance the water etc.
