We are avid National Park site visitors and this was stamp #120 in our NPS Passport. It is a simple yet beautiful park.

This is a great park with a nice deep tall tree shaded path.  It has the feel of being in nature when you park (free) and start walking.  There are benches to take a break and rest rooms down by the marina.

Lovely park. Lacks trash cans and water fountains throughout (there are some at the entrance near Roosevelt Island). Bikers can be aggressive so beware casual runners or walkers. Also, some dog owners don't clean up after their pets so pay attention when walking in the grass!

Beautiful sunsets on the water with pretty boats at the marina, along with a view of the Pentagon. The shore has an indoor outdoor seating cafe with a pergola and "tiki bar". Very good food. Dog friendly (not in the cafe seating but at the outer picnic tables). Live music Thursday evenings -- check it out at Columbia Island Marina cafe.  Great daytime date spot.

Nice and quiet.  It is small, but does have a parking lot next to North Parking for the Pentagon.
