I have been having an algae problem in my fish tank for several months now. I've had my tank for several years and this is my first time with this problem. I have lost count as to how many Pet Smarts, Petcos, etc etc I have called, visited and spent tons of money on products that killed my fish and did not work. My tank got so bad and I was having to clean it so often, I stopped enjoying why I got the tank in the first place. Every few days I am having algae take over my tank. And I would spend hours cleaning it out. So I GOOGLED fish store Charlotte. Last Place On Earth popped up. I decided, what could it hurt to call. Shane answered the phone, patiently listened to my problem....and in a matter of a few minutes, suggested something NO ONE at any other pet store suggested. He said, I needed to change my light bulb. And he took the time to explain how even tho my bulb still works, why I need to change it. Are you kidding me! I want to say months, but no...its January 2016 already. I just realized I have been fighting algae for a year. If Last Place On Earth was closer, they would have my business in a heartbeat. Next time I'm in the Charlotte area...they will have my business.. Thanks Shane! UPDATE: I still live over an hour from here and today called the store for a simple question and without hesitation, the associate was quick to help. The customer service here is excellent.

I got a bunny from here on Mothers Day of 2015. Love this place. This is the only place I come to for my bunny needs. They are very knowledgeable about the animals.

First time going to LPOE and I was pleased to see they had good prices despite all the reviews saying other wise. Everyone was kind and greeted us. They had plenty of knowledge on everything we asked. With two dogs and three bearded dragons we make frequent trips to the pet store. This will be my new goto spot for anything we need. You won't find better prices at Petsmart or Petco especially for reptile needs. It was clean and didn't smell bad like some small pet shops do so that was a plus. Organized and easy to find what I was looking for.

The place is tiny but they sure make use of every inch. The staff is very friendly and they have been in buisness for 30 years. Buy puppies, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, cockatiels, parakeets, fish and a few other animal species. They have beautiful wrought iron aquarium stands that are welded. I hought one for my 55 gallon fish aquarium and love it!
