Christmas shopping at Macy's, this store was well stocked with inventory in most departments. Located in the Capital Mall, there was many shoppers. However, there was many floor staff to help the many shoppers. The sales personnel were very knowledgeable, especially in the home kitchen department.

Today I took my grandson to pick out a ring for his mother. We had a budget and a few photo choices she gave for him look at. The person helping us was perfect. I am very sorry I did not get her name, but I did get a picture of a part of the event. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and my 8 year grandson took this job very seriously, we asked for the Macy's rep to show us the rings that his mom picked and then we asked for other suggestions in that price range. This amazing lady treated him so professionally, she was patient, and answered his many questions (is it real? how much is the cost of this one? can I see another choice?) Finally he picked a ring he loved, and she kindly took the funds from him and boxed the treasured gift. I just stood back with pride at him working with her. Thank you sweet jewelry person for your time with us. I am looking very forward to returning for myself! (the prices were very good! plus she gave us a coupon for $20.00 off!)

Retail is changing but customer service is still paramount for the shopper. In my personal experience the folks at this Macy's are friendly and helpful. There are bargains to be had with a bit of effort and the location is easily accessed.

I never thought I would have such as horrible experience at Macy's. I'm a Macy's regular customer and I've bought several items from this store. My husband and I we were looking for a dining set and found a really nice one at this Macy's. A salesman named Chris Sheldon showed it to us and we decided to keep looking around but we couldn't find anything better so we came back a week after and look for him to purchase this set. Everything seemed to be right, and after "completing" the sale, he shook our hands and told us the delivery date would be today because it takes a week since they have to bring it from California. We have a family event this coming weekend so it was perfect time ( today is Monday). Today I decided to take the day off to wait for the table but it never came. I called Macy's customer service and they transferred me to the store where they told me there were no new orders under our name or address. I thought it was a mistake so since my husband was the one ordering the table, I waited for him to make the phone call, maybe he just gave different information. My husband talked to Chris and he said the order wasn't processed :/. We explained to him that I missed a day of work because of this and we also have a family event and no table. We had all the paperwork and he not only didn't apologized or took any responsibility for it, but he also said that I shouldn't take the whole day off because they call us half an hour before they come ( what job lets you leave in half an hour like that because you get a random phone call like that at any unexpected time?). He said "I can replace your order now and maybe you can get it for the weekend" ( another week of wait!!) We said "maybe?, that's all you can offer us?" . He said " what do you want? The table for free?". Ok here is when we lost it. No, I don't want the table for free but this would've been a lot better:" hey guys, I really apologize for what happened ( he didn't apologize not even once), I'm going to try to do my best to get it for you guys for this weekend since it was MY FAULT and let me talk to my manager and see if I can get any type of discount"( I don't know, maybe delivery feed which were $250!! Or anything). Instead of that he just said "I'm going to place it again". I just told him to cancel my order and wished him a good day. I'm really upset because I was waiting for this table for a little bit over than a week, I don't think I can find another one for this weekend's event and especially because he didn't even try to make us happy when it was ALL his fault. Not shopping at that Macy's store anymore. I don't even know if I wanna shop at Macy's again after this terrible experience. Thank you Chris Sheldon for messing up my day and my family dinner
