Just a beautiful experience, every time. Their wine list alone has to be one of (if not The) best compilations in the country. Staff go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Don’t be intimidated by price; there are wines for every budget and the food is so delicious, unique and thoughtfully composed that it creates a luxurious, lingering memory, which is worth every penny.

Just returned from Magdalena celebrating my husband's Birthday. Can't say this place gave us a joyful experience we hoped for. AMBIANCE: We were placed in the room with many little hats on the walls and middle eastern motifs on the "windows" and tables. Other "decoration" were white painted brick walls and "bare bone' wooden doors and ceiling. Nothing was very appealing + the wall seats were not too comfortable either being too deep and low. FOOD: Menu descriptions sounded great. Presentations of the dishes were quite attractive. Taste of all the savory dishes was very mediocre and bland. Apple strudel for dessert was a highlight of the whole dinner and was outstanding. Drinks (in our case we had 3 cocktails) were very week in alcohol to everything else ratio. The pricing was outrageously expensive. SERVICE: Nice, "trying", the waiter was too "babbly", but not very professional. VALUE: Beyond overpriced, totally inadequate to the experience. CONCLUSION: It wasn't bad experience, but wasn't great one either. For this kind of money you can have much better experience somewhere else, so it's not worth coming back for us. But if you have some extra money to spend for the faked "glamour" of this place then why not? That's probably where all these positive reviews come from.
