This hotel has been pretty good for the most part. I stayed in room 905. Front desk staff has been kind and the valets have been helpful beyond their normal jobs. The hotel itself is historic and beautifully restored. My complaint is that the bathroom in my room was not very well designed. To turn on the shower you must be in the stall and get blasted by cold water. Thankfully the water adjusts temperature quickly but that initial blast is unpleasant and unexpected for such a nice hotel. Additionally, the hotel encourages saving towels by hanging them but there are few places to actually do so. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would come again. My hope would be a slightly better bathroom setup next time.

Room was small but still comfortable. Space between desk and bed is tight. Bathroom is more than adequate with a well designed shower. Heating and cooling operated very good. The hotel itself is a step back in a glamorous time. The main lobby is done in the decor of 80 yrs ago, to the tee. Staff are extremely helpful and went out their way to anticipate your needs.

Room was clean and well maintained. The furniture seemed more thoughtful selected and more well fitting to the room than one would expect. The rainfall shower and high quality bath products were both pluses. The bed was extremely comfortable. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast buffet at 11 River was substantial and good for a rewards perk.

Very well done update to a classic hotel in the heart of Syracuse. We did have some issues, the hide-a-bed couldn't unfold completely because the desk (bolted to the wall) was in the way, they knew there were 3 of us and needed the bed but didn't provide linens for it, then we had to call twice to get the linens. That being said, they then went out of their way to make it right. They did a great job with our event, food was wonderful, great service other than than the issue above. We would recommend it!

The staff was friendly, the view of the city was decent, but the bathroom in our first room was not thoroughly cleaned, so they were kind enough to give us a new room. The M Club was never stocked or cleaned during the duration of our two night stay. We mentioned this on three occasions to the front desk and were told housekeeping would take care of it within the hour, photos were taken about 2 hrs after the last conversation with the front desk. There seemed to be a lack of urgency throughout the staff and the rest off the hotels cleanliness was poor at best. This is not what I've come to expect from a Marriott hotel and I will not choose to stay at this location in the future.
