Absolutely wonderful!! Friendly staff are knowledgeable and willing to describe the menu. Homemade pasta is rolled behind the bar. The chef, Top Chef Winner, offers a balanced, affordable menu attractive to any eater. Best Italian in Chicago!

There are places that feed you and there a places that teach you. Monteverde does both with grace and style. The knowledge of the staff and their eagerness to share the creation and imagination of the menu was a respite from the usual hustle and bustle of most West Loop destinations. 

#InsiderTip — Be sure to ask for a table near the pasta making station and watch your pasta rolled and cut to order

FANTASTIC! This place was already crazy busy when we got there at 5:30pm. Supposedly, some people dine the whole half day here - from lunch till closing!

Service: The staff were all very attentive and knew the food they were serving. They were also very passionate about the food and it made it more enjoyable when you're surrounded by food-appreciating individuals

Food: Amazing pasta - cooked well with great flavour - very balanced. Wish I could've eaten more on the menu!! They even have a kids menu too so our little one could enjoy her own portion of food!

Atmosphere: great decor. comfortable seats

Fantastic food.  Excellent cocktails.  Kid friendly.  Nice markers for children.  Kids menu is pricy though.  We fed our daughter from our plates.  She loved it all.

Enjoyed the entirety of my dining experience here. The service was good, the food was good, and the prices weren’t too high. For 3 people, we spent an average of $40 per person that included multiple courses and drinks. If you like pasta, this is definitely a place to check out on the West Loop. There are also enough varieties for vegetarians, so that definitely makes it better!
