Classy and has something of a view, good amount of sunlight from windows. Great beer selection though I wish they had blue Moon and more options. But otherwise a great place to get together. (Not kosher)

Service is great and the food is what you'd expect (upscale bar grub). Good views and professional crowds. Right by union station so good place to eat if you're seeing someone off.

Food was great! Service was pretty good--better hospitality at some the other bars and restaurants we visited that weekend. It was really noisy and hard to talk/listen even when the tables next to us were empty. I'd suggest requesting a booth.

If 6 stars was an option I'd do six. The food is simply brilliant; a cacophony of tastes and textures that meld together so perfectly as to make you wonder if you're still in Chicago and not the pearly gates. This may sound like an over exaggeration, but as a middle lower class citizen I've not tasted better food for 21 dollars.
 My short ribs were beautifully plated, placed upon a carrot purée with demiglazed root beer sauce. Deceptively small, this meal completely filled me and left me with feeling that I hadn't made a better choice than this all week. Seriously, if you're nearby, you would be wrong to pass this up.

This place is overrated, highly adequate, expensive, and over relying on pretension.  I end up going here for events all the time which I don't regret.  I will meet people here because it is easy to find. But would I ever say "I haven't been to South Branch in a while, let's go there" - nope, never.
