The Museum of the Bible is an excellent museum that tells and shows you various aspects of the Bible, it's history and the impact to society and cultures throughout the world. This museum does not attempt to proselytize visitors towards any specific religion but visitors of Jewish and Christian faiths will be able to connect directly to learn more about this holy book. There are exhibits and interactive displays for all ages, including an activity room specifically for kids. There is a good mix of displays that require a fair amount of reading, a re-creation of what life in Nazareth would be like with interpreters, various videos and temporary exhibits to satisfy everyone. The Manna Restaurant also offers a good variety of foods. We spent the entire day and 8 hours to see the entire museum. It is a highly recommended must-see.

I gave five stars due to the exhibits in the museum. We got there at 10 on a Saturday and had to wait outside for more than an hour to even get in the museum. They let groups with reservations in 1st, which I understand, but everyone has to go through security and there were only 2 lines so that's why it took so long to get everyone in. Once in there are enough floors for everyone to kind of scatter about. The young man that sold us our tickets gave us the order in which we should start which was on the third floor with the Hebrew walk. Evidently as the day goes on that gets busier and we probably had to wait 45 minutes at 11:30 in the morning to go through but it was so worth it! There is too much to see in one day but we did try to go through every exhibit on every floor in the few hours we were there. When I go back I would like to spend more time in each exhibit. I've posted a few pics of some of the exhibits. One neat thing in the history of the Bible exhibit was you could write one word on a screen of how the Bible makes you feel and then your word gets added to the revolving screens around the room. Mine was 'Inspired' & my husband wrote 'Free'. That was pretty cool. If you are a believer in the Bible this museum is a must do the next time you're in DC. Wear comfy shoes, there is a lot of walking and standing but plenty plenty of seating on each floor and throughout each exhibit.

Had a great time at the museum today. Getting in took a bit of time going through security. Have never seen the scanning pods they use there but felt secure knowing they were so careful. Exhibits were amazing. Floor 4 had beautiful examples of many kinds of Bibles. We used the free digital devices they offered to tour the museum and it really enhanced the experience. Floor 2 gave wonderful examples of biblical influence in history. We did the virtual ride to see biblical influences in Washington D.C. It was great, but we were glad we did the ride before eating lunch. The best floor was Floor 3. AMAZING! The theaters had very well done videos, there was a reproduction of a biblical village complete with costumed actors. The crowned jewel was the Hebrew Bible program, multimedia walk through biblical history. Do not miss This! There were some long lines at lunch time, but this is to be expected. Will definitely be back!

Amazing Museum really shares the culture and origins of the Bible. A must see when you visit Washington DC! They have a center for children, and an interactive section is opening soon! There are thousands of artifacts to see and enjoy. Two great places to take a rest and eat. The views are so beautiful from the 6th fl Atrium. It's free, but they do appreciate donations. Perfect for family!

Our tour group had 3.5 hours scheduled here and we could have easily spent twice that amount of time! This museum dedicated to the Bible is incredibly engaging and technologically cutting edge. I came in expecting to see a bunch of exhibits and artificers, but there is SO MUCH MORE to this museum than that. Christian or not, this museum presents the story of Scripture beautifully and shows clearly the influence the Bible has had on culture throughout history.
