The best times to go are the weekdays. I have been several times and the staff has always been very helpful. I think that the museum shop is wonderful, but be prepared to stand in line to get into it and again to pay for merchandise. The Sweet Home Cafe features regional food. The food was good, but not the very best that I have had. You cannot take food from the cafe. You can't see everything in one visit, so you may want to target the era that most interests you. Definitely, my favorite Smithsonian Museum.

Beautiful Place and much needed Museum to document the Struggles, Suffering and Contributions made to this country by African Americans. The flow of the museum was great and the staff friendly. Love the old historical film footage. The food was great. They need to organize the flow of the cafeteria better, I thought it was a little confusing. I do feel that large school groups need to have better control over the students they bring to the museum. Some of the students were loud, running in the museum and grouped on benches playing with phone. Don't bring them if they are not interested in learning, don’t know how to be respectful of others trying to learn and don't know how to behave appropriately in public. I have been twice and I was able to see what I missed during the my first visit during the second visit. I plan to come each year and support the museum financially. The Photo of the Auction Block Below: As in any mercantile system, slave agents recorded, insured, advertised, displayed, and finally, sold their “wares” to the highest bidders. To prepare for sales, dealers fed, cleaned, and oiled down slaves to hide disease and to improve appearance. Sales took place on ship decks, in slave pens, by preset contract, or at auction. On the auction block, potential buyers examined every part of these men and women’s anatomy. Healthy young men usually sold first and for the highest value.

Lots to see and I enjoyed myself. Friendly staff and volunteers. Needs an ADA compliant initiative enforced; as far as for viewing and full accessibility to exhibits. Hover Rounds will be the better alternative to wheelchairs or walkers if able to. Lighting is in need of upgrading & professional lighting consultation. The venue is packed with people, Luv that part of seeing all nationalities and ages learning at once. Rating for me was a must see at least twice (6 floors of exhibits). 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

The National AA Museum of History & Culture is "Amazing!" Each time I visit, I review and learn something new. The lines are long for the cafe and they ran out "chicken - white meat" again. They should get rid of the rule you can't keep your left overs. The servings are ample and after paying "big bucks" the meal is mine and should not be thrown out just because I could not finish in one sitting. Each floor is at least an hour of amazing history. There should be tour guides for each floor. I will return as the museum is a masterpiece!

Socially engaging. Historic evaluation unlike any other place or collective of events. Surpassed only by personal studies research projects. Not unlike causality research social engineering the making iLobbyist an expressed need to understand the last 150+ years of Nationalized Emancipated American People. Thanks dearly for your futuristic thinking. The drive and fortitude in all of us to simple be equal striving to live by justice.
